All very typical by the sounds so won't bore you with the whole "I've hated my nose for..." but it' s true!
So I had my open rhinoplasty to fix my deviated septum, and a small bump on my bridge.
My procedure was with Mr Dalvi Humzah in Halesowen, Birmingham, UK
I' m 4 days out and have a couple of questions, heck who doesn't?
I have kept my drip pad on for the past 4 days, replacing as and when I feel it needs it, shall remove it for good now until splint removal on the 17th June (4days time)? Could that help with recovery?
Also, I don't see many people talk about surgery stockings, I'm still wearing mine, anyone have any thoughts on those?
Thanks in advance and now I've started my review I'll try and update with pics!

Packing
MynoseplastryJune 12, 2015
Ok, so I'm freaking out a little, I'm just over 3 days in and presumed the packing inside my nose would have dissolved by now, my surgeon said to give it 2-3days for that to happen and it's looking pretty far from doing that.
Now we're going into a weekend so I have no choice but to keep this stuff up there til Monday, is this likely to ruin my outcome?
I've read packing isn't quite the norm it use to be, any advice RealSelfies??

It's a rollercoaster, put it that way. I can't answer that truthfully for another few days yet!

Damn good luck with recovery man. Its not the things we do that we regret its mainly the things we dont do. Dont wanna be 40 in 20 yrs time thinking i should have got my nose bump sorted. My main question is in terms of pain and discomfort how do you feel.

I've been a little niave when it comes to my recovery i feel. 4 days in i have slept approx. 4hours altogether, lots of times of feeling sorry for myself but they battle against the done-it-to-myself vibe anyway! Eating isn't fun. Erm, sorry, i'm not painting it to be a pleasany experience. This is why i think i can answer your question with hindsight about a months time, which i will.
