Here are my two month pictures. I haven’t noticed a ton of changes- I’m watching the loss on the side incision as I have lost a bit more, but I hope that’s the end of it! My hair grows super slow so I’m just keeping an eye on it. All these pictures are of my scar without makeup covering it! Any ingrowns I’ve been getting I’m still treating with tend skin and it really helps!

Hi! Hope you are recovering well! :-) I love your new forehead! Has the shock loss stopped? Do you have any new pictures? Thanks.

Thank you! Yes it did! So I’d say my 3 month mark is when I finally noticed growth coming in on the staple lines where my bald spot was! I will post new pictures after Christmas in the new year, stay tuned!

4 weeks

I’m 4 weeks post op as of yesterday, and feeling pretty good so far! My scars in my hair where the staples were are still a bit tender to touch, but everything otherwise feels good. Have had a couple ingrown but using Tend Skin and it’s helping!
My hairline shedded and thinned just a little in spots behind my hairline, but nothing extreme or anything I’m concerned about as I can see new hairs growing! So I’m not worrying about it. The scar looks good and I see half inch hairs growing already! I did have a little loss in spots where the staples are (see pictures) but I’m hoping that will recover as well soon!
As far as shedding goes, this week I would say is when I finally have noticed it’s tapered off and almost back to normal!
Not a single person has noticed, and my two friends I told had no idea until I pointed it out! I’m really looking forward to seeing things continue to heal and my scar start to be less visible! Dr Aharonov is amazing and his subtle results this quick speaks for itself!
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me! :)

Comparing photos from my 2 week update- I think my hairline is looking fuller! But I do have a touch of loss in spots on my staple scars, which if it’s going to be anywhere, I’d rather it there! Lol also, the puckering of my skin has gone down lots, and my scar looks less red as it’s not as fresh!

Congrats dear!!! I had surgery with Dr.G one day after you and I’m basically having the same experience, I have a tiny bald spot inside my hair which I didn’t even notice until last week haha but everything been pretty good so far as well - some shedding round the hairline but nothing noticeable, hopefully grows back soon!!

Any hair loss after the procedure?
October 24, 2018
You can tell in the pictures I had a little thinning of my hairline on the suture line (also they do shave a bit of your natural hairline to make the incision so your hair grows back in front of the scar) and I do have a tiny bit of loss and a small bald spot on my staples line hidden in my hair, but I’m sure new ones will hopefully come through there soon. Otherwise, no. As for shedding, I found my shedding doubled from my normal shedding for the first month and then finally returned to normal. I’ll post a 2 month update in the next couple weeks with new pictures!

Thanks for update! They did a really good job on your hairline please keep us posted with new updates :)

Day 14- 2 weeks since surgery!

MM162
So far so good! To start, my biggest goal was trying to find something to get the ointment out of my hair - I read dawn dish soap helped with Vaseline. My husband bought this super gentle, natural ivory dish soap and a dawn as I was worried about scents and sensitivity to it. We tried the ivory and if it did help, it was only minor. I had to work one day last week so I put a bunch of “hair laundry” by healthy sexy hair dry shampoo, which is like a powder, in my hair, threw on a headband, put my hair up and went to work. I didn’t wash my hair for two days after and when I did Sunday it was clean except for a few spots on the sides were still a bit greasy! I don’t know if it was the dry shampoo that actually worked to absorb it, or not over washing my hair everyday that helped too. Wish I could give you girls a more definite solution but that was the turning point for me!
Anyways, yesterday was the real test to style my hair for the first time. My natural hair is curly, and I always straighten it. I also have side swept bangs. I was actually really thankful for my bangs now to easily hide my scar except for like an inch where my hair parts! The weird thing was was having to trim more than an inch off my bangs from lowering my hairline! Something I never thought about prior. No one at work even noticed. I saw my mom and finally asked what she thought with my hair styled, and she told me she forgot all about it and didn’t even notice until I said something, so obviously not even noticeable! Yay! Should make hiding the scar while it heals easier :)
Healing- I have noticed more shedding in the shower and in general, nothing I’m freaking out about though... just trying to remind myself to not stress and it’s part of the process! I can see and feel the little hairs coming through my scar already, so I’m hopeful the next few weeks are ok I don’t experience shock loss! Just trying keep my stress down, drink lots of water, eat lots of protein and take my vitamins. I feel two little ingrowns, but because of my curly hair I expected it. I bought some tend skin at Dr Gal’s recommendation and will give that a try and see if it helps. I’m going to start using a gentle exfoliant on it to hopefully help that. The tightness in my head is gone- I’d say day 10-14 is when I felt it or go finally! Still weird not being able to feel the top of my head, but I’m feeling a touch more sensation all the time! A little piling/puckering, but really not that bad. So far, SO happy with the results and if I can get through these next couple weeks with no hair loss, it will be smooth sailing from there!

Hey, thanks for the update! How are you feeling in yourself, are you 100% again and back to your normal routine? (Work, etc.)?
September 26, 2018
Definitely feeling myself again! It’s still a little tender to touch and I haven’t started working out yet, and I play ringette (similar to hockey) and Gal told me to wait 3 weeks to play again. Otherwise I feel really good and back to normal, in all other aspects!
September 26, 2018
Do you have any photos? I’m hopefully getting the same procedure done in the next month or so once I figure out travel arrangements
September 26, 2018
These are my newest pictures, I took them yesterday. I had my surgery 2 weeks ago yesterday.
September 27, 2018
Looks awesome! I can’t wait to have done please keep us posted
September 29, 2018
Wow!!! You look gorgeous with your new forehead ! Keep updates ... do you feel any numbness ?
September 29, 2018
Thank you! Yes I still feel numbness on the top of my head, probably 3/4 of the way back. I feel more sensation there now than post op with the swelling gone down, but Dr Gal said it usually takes 6 months for nerves to start reconnecting!
October 10, 2018
You look so beautiful! I know you must be extremely happy, I have my surgery scheduled for December & am super anxious and nervous!
October 10, 2018
Thank you! I am extremely happy! I’m anxious to start wearing my hair pulled back, but it’ll come in time! I totally get it! It’s a big procedure! Hopefully you’ve done your research in doctors and just trust them and try not to stress! Message me if you ever need to or have any questions! :)
