a wise decision

I thought dealing with male pattern baldness was a problem that with time I would have to deal with. But when I was diagnosed with the skin cancer that would effect a considerable portion of my scalp, I no longer felt I had the luxury of time. Half a day of Moe’s surgery left my head looking like a roadmap full of sutures, staples and ugly black lines. Subsequent discussions with my family doctor and others knowledgeable about such matters suggested that I really only had one option -- hair transplant surgery. But who would do the work? My research into the subject took me from Atlanta to Istanbul to San Francisco and back to Atlanta. And while my standards were lofty, my budget-- not so much. I was looking for a practitioner with the experience, expertise and skill that would enhance my comfort level and even better leave me with a reasonably acceptable appearance. Once my research had been completed, I was convinced that the way to satisfy all of my concerns was by signing on with the Anderson Center for Hair & Aesthetics. I became convinced that the professionals at Anderson possess the credentials, expertise and pedigree that I was looking for. Dr. Anderson isn’t simply an experienced professional in hair transplant surgery; he is a pioneer in the field. He has been performing Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) surgery for over 20 years as well as being board certified in several other relevant surgical specialties. The Anderson Clinic I learned is the facility where other medical professionals and surgeons go to have their hair replacement issues addressed. And when he is not busy performing hair transplant surgery, he is educating other practitioners in the art of hair transplant surgery around the world. So, being comfortable with the decision I made, I underwent the surgery at Anderson four months ago. Upon my arrival at the facility, I found it to be bright, spacious, antiseptic and modern. I found the medical staff to a person to be affable, knowledgeable, caring and highly proficient. Dr. Jeremy Wetzel would perform the surgery which took much of the afternoon. During the process, each of my questions was answered and my concerns were fully addressed. Having been well-steeped in the process before hand, I experienced little anxiety and virtually no pain. I was then instructed on each aspect of post-surgical care and treatment, which included surgical site care and cleansing, pharmacological intervention, and laser therapy (which was designed to enhance blood flow to the newly installed follicles. Since the surgery, Dr. Wetzel has periodically introduced platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into the transplant site which is also intended to enhance blood flow to my crop of new hair (which is coming in quite nicely). Not only am I pleased with the resultant hair growth, but I have noticed that my non-transplanted hair appears thicker, more robust, and with no noticeable scarring. I consider the experience to be a rousing success, so much so that if asked to recommend a hair replacement practice, I won’t hesitate to suggest Dr. Wetzel and the folks at Anderson Center for Hair & Aesthetics. He is the best, and Anderson is is a truly quality operation.
