Smile Hair Clinic – From Bald Anxiety to Hairy Optimism

Three months ago, I packed up my receding hairline and headed to Turkey for a hair transplant with Smile Hair Clinic. I’m happy to report both I and my hairline returned in better condition than when we left.
From the moment I booked, the whole experience felt reassuringly professional. Communication was (and still is) excellent. The WhatsApp group deserves a special mention — detailed, clear, and helpful without ever tipping into “please stop messaging me” territory. Any date changes, questions, or even bringing my partner along were handled smoothly and without fuss.
They made the whole process incredibly easy, including help with flights, and once in Turkey they handled all transport. And when I say transport, I mean luxury transport — far superior to anything we call a taxi in the UK. The hotel was basic but clean, modern, and perfectly fine, with decent food and located about three minutes from the clinic. No trekking across Istanbul with a freshly transplanted scalp, thankfully.
At the clinic itself, the staff were calm, competent, and instantly put me at ease during the paperwork and prep stages. There was one brief moment where someone seemed a little unsure of what they were meant to be doing, but it was minor and quickly resolved — and honestly, when people are working on your head, you notice everything.
The procedure itself was surprisingly uneventful (which is exactly what you want). The injections are painful — no sugar-coating that — but they warn you beforehand, and once they’re done, the rest of the day passes in a bit of a medicated blur.
Afterwards, you’re given very clear instructions on how to care for your newly delicate scalp and sent off to rest. Before flying home, there’s a thorough (but not overwhelming) information session on aftercare, what helps growth, what doesn’t, and what to expect — followed by another ride in their very fancy transport back to the airport.
Once home, you do need to follow the aftercare advice properly. It’s uncomfortable for a while — itchy, sore, and occasionally making you question your life choices — but Smile Hair Clinic stayed in constant contact. They encouraged regular photo updates, responded quickly with advice, and were genuinely reassuring throughout the healing process.
Three months in, the results are already starting to show, and I’m genuinely very happy with how it’s turning out. The communication hasn’t stopped, the support is ongoing, and the results are heading in exactly the right direction.
In short: professional, well-organised, supportive, and worth every penny. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Smile Hair Clinic to anyone considering a hair transplant.
