These pics are from two years. And two procedures later!
Do not go to this outdated procuesure facility. I made the terrible mistake of going twice and paid for it. Do your research! He is the only surgeon in Reno that does HT and charges more per graft than pros in California!

600 grafts and it was the FUT method. I am now told my doctors that it should have been at least 1200 grafts

If I needed 600 grafts I would have gone with a FUE even if I needed 1200....I wish I could have done FUE but the cost for the amount of grafts I needed which was 5000 plus the FUT made more sense....I'm sorry about your experiences thus far but just know that you can get it fixed you look like you have a lot of hair already...

Thanks for the pics. This helps us looking for a doctor. Hope you have more success.

Final outcome

This doctor ended up retiring and closing his practice due to personal medical problems.
Luckily I was reimbursed for the procedure.
Unfortunately the botched hair transplant did leave me worse than before, I was unable to cut my hair short because of the large donor scar. Because of the low density on my hairline it actually looked like I'm balding now more than ever. This experience made me regret ever doing it in the first place. It brought many years of depression and made me very insecure. I found myself always wearing a hat. One of the worst parts was that I couldn't just simply shave or pluck the hair away and move on because the procedure left me severe pitting. I am told pitting is a results of either hair follicles placed too deep or excess fat around each hair follicle not removed during dissection.
Many doctors told me that my first failed transplant hairline Design was that of a woman, it was round, and not square as a man should have. So apparently the design of my hairline was also wrong. I was also miss quoted by this doctor, he told me I only needed 600 Grafts. While multiple top doctors across the country told me I needed between 1500 and 2000 grafts!!!
Do your RESEARCH make sure you're going to a doctor that knows what they're doing. I found real self and the hair transplant network to be very helpful resources.
My journey has recently continued, on August 10, 2017 I had a revision procedure with Dr. John Diep in Los Gatos California. FUT with 2022 grafts plus Acell. You can follow that review posted separately on my profile. Wish me luck and proper growth!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. How many grafts did you have, and what method of transplant was performed?
