My Hair Transplant Ruined Me

Dr Wisiorek at HRA Buffalo Ruined Me.

$7,500

Dr Michael Wisiorek claims to be a great hair transplant surgeon. He is anything but. He and his assistant completely botched my transplant leaving me scarred, over harvested and without hair. I was promised a full head of hair and what I got was anything but.

Dr Mike as he likes to be called is completely unprofessional and his bed side manner is even worse. Taking phone calls and text messages during my procedure. Leaving to do a PR shoot in the middle of my surgery. I spent a total of 9.5 hours at the clinic for what amounts to a few hundred graphs. Dr Wisiorek tells me he did anywhere from 1200-1600 grafts. That range is unacceptable, he can’t give me an actual number.

Avoid HRA Buffalo at all costs.

This is really disturbing. Mine didn't turn out great either and now that some time has passed many grafts did not survive. Objectively speaking although the dr and his staff seem pleasant enough they are not diligent or talented enough to really create a natural result that dies indeed mimic theway ones hair grew naturally prior. Because they shave the entire head and mix all the grafts up from various areas of the scalp..once you grow your hair long.after two inches you have crazy directional anomolies and a very odd mix with little real naturalism. At best the good dr can only give you what was done for him. It will never be enough and you may not really know how many were lost in transection. It will require several procedures no matter what. Although i need another procedure...im not convinced it won't be hack...it's incredibly expensive and unlike other doctors they are reluctant to offer guarantees for surgical error...we shall see.
I cannot find any reviews of the guy where anything was successful. He also does not sound super knowledgeable. I went to turkey and paid $2,000.00 for 4k grafts. Full set of hair now. Been 4 years

My Hair Transplant Ruined Me

I had a hair transplant done on January 25 of 2020. The second I got home to look at myself in the mirror I knew something was wrong. My hairline was brought too low. Lower than discussed in pre-Surgery. Just over 6cm from my glabella. The density is so sparse that it is going to look terrible. Not only that my entire hairline is filled with 2, 3 and 4 hair grafts. I have no idea how many graphs I actually received as the surgeon who did my surgery can only tell me he did between 1500 and 1700 over an area that is probably 90-100 cm. I have had this reviewed by several other clinics who have all expressed the same concerns and hope that in 9 to 10 months they can fix the damage that was done. It may take several sessions to actually fix what was done to my head.

The surgery day itself was also a disaster as the Surgeon Who did my surgery took personal phone calls and text messages while in the surgery room. He also stepped out for roughly 2 hours to do a PR shoot leaving only one assistant to do the surgery. I was in the chair for nearly 10 hours for only 1500 or so grafts.

I wish I could take it all back and just never have the surgery done or at least not done at this place.

The outcome I have now in what was supposed to be an 8-12 month recovery has now turned into minimum a 2 year process.
