nw3 just got FUE at Aestimed in turkey (4050 grafts)

Hi guys,

Just writing another review on my experience in turkey getting an fue ht at Aestimed clinic.
In this review i will post before pics, recovery pics and month to month pics. I hope to get good results.

I feel this clinic needs more reviews as i did my research before going and found it to be in my opinion the best choice for me.... I was right based on customer service.

I got 4050 grats implanted on March 28, 2017. Its only been 3 days now and im back in Canada.

First let me say there was a lot of pain with the anesthesia needles everywhere especially on the hair line. I was not expecting that however, they did warn me before hand but its just a small price to pay if you want hair.. Beauty is pain so ive heard.

The entire team, the driver, the doctor and the nursing staff were super friendly and always smiling which feels good when youre a foreigner in another country especially when youre putting your trust into them. They made me feel comfortable and always asked how i was doing.

So lets begin...

FUE hair transplant done at Aestimed istanbul (4050 grafts)

Hey everyone, Just thought I'd share my experience with hair loss and my journey to a hair transplant.
Ive done the research and found the clinic I will be headed to at the end of march for the procedure. However I'd like to share with you all the pre operation steps I am taking. I know a lot of doctors say you dont need to do anything before a procedure except stop certain drugs.. however I feel the more healthier you are and positive about yourself then the better the procedure will be as well as the outcome of the results. Now this is just a part of the equation, the other part is how well the doctor or team performs your surgery but you really can't control that other than picking the best clinic you think will give you the best results.
anyway lets begin... First off let me say that I am not a doctor and I'm not telling you to do what is listed below nor am I telling you that this will help your outcome for the procedure. Please check with your doctor before trying anything listed below. I am just listing what i think will help me.
That being said, first off I started to exercise, I run every morning before i eat on a tred mill for half hour staying within my target heart rate zone. I just turned 30 in January and I was 230 lbs at 5 foot 11 inches so I have quite a bit of fat to lose, I am currently 217 lbs since starting my exercise.
I think exercise is good to get your body fit and in shape. also it helps your heart and lungs, you increase testosterone ( now i know some you think higher testosterone means ore hairless but i am also on finasteride so I'm not too worried about testosterone turning to dht plus even if i wasn't taking it i would still do it).
I lift weights everyday targeting different muscles each day. sat and sun are my off days.
thats it for the exercise part, now on to my hair regime.
I use minoxidil 5% foam twice a day, once in the morning after my shower and once before bed after my shower. Yes I shower twice a day but I dont shampoo twice a day just let the water hit the scalp.
I mixed 3 tbsp of castor oil 3tbsp of extra virgin olive oil with 15 drops of each essential oil;
lavender
sage
peppermint
rosemary
tee tree
and I use this on my scalp once or twice a week depending how I feel. I let this sit in my head for no less than an hour before I shampoo it out. some of these oils have either been proven or have good reviews on combatting dandruff, sebum, hair loss, fungus and much more. they also keep your scalp hydrated.
I use ketokonazole shampoo once or twice a week however this shampoo does have sls, so its not my fav shampoo. I will be ditching it soon. i use other shampoos that are 100% natural with no sls or any other chemicals. doing all this will help your scalp stay heathly and promote healthy hair growth to what ever you have left. I dont know if it will regrow lost hair, probably not so dont get your hopes up there is no known cure for mpb yet.
I use a multi vitamin 3 times a day as its directed on the bottle it contains herbs like saw palmetto, nettle, pumpkin seed oil... things like that to help prostate and hair loss because they are linked.
I use biotin 1000mcg 2 to 3 times daily, i dont use the highest form because your body makes this vitamin if you eat properly. what ever your body doesn't use it just comes out in your pee , so i think 3000mcg a day is plenty any more would be a waste.
I use b complex 50 with vitamin c 2 times daily, yes i try to spread out vitamins throughout the day because if you take them all at once your body will use up what it needs then will get rid of the excess and your body will need to use up more later on . so instead of taking b complex 100 once a day, i take complex 50 twice a day.
I eat healthy most of the time, I eat things like complex carbs, whole protein, eggs, fish, veggies. I cheat every saterday and eat what ever i want for dinner only. because eating healthy is great but i still like to enjoy some pleasure food like pizza.
dont over eat know how many calories you need per day according to your activity level, do a search on google for anything your unsure of, you can learn a lot.
I scalp massage everyday its become more of a habit while i watch a movie i just massage my thinning areas.
exfoliate scalp once a month, 2tbsp of raw coconut oil cold pressed with 1 tbsp of baking soda, you might need more if you have long hair just make a paste and gently massage to scalp to help break up dead skin and remove oil that is clogging pores which makes pimples on your scalp, this contributes to hair loss so make sure your scalp is clean.
Now I will be stopping my regime a week before treatment and starting when the doc says it is safe to do so. I also quit drinking alcohol for now until the transplant hair grows in. I limited my coffee to 2 cups a day trying to make that 1 cup a day. dont smoke ever again no matter what i smoked for years.. its just a stupid thing to do it makes you age oh ya and it will kill you faster, were all going to die but smoking will bring you your death date sooner than you can imagine.
anyway if you have any questions just let me know, I will be writing my journey in here so look out for updates.
cheers
