Not for Me

Not for Me

John J. S.
I have no complaints about my experience with Dr. Yates. However, I am not happy with my results after 2+ years. I realize I have experienced more hair loss since my hair transplant, but at this point people are asking me if I am ill. I am never without a baseball hat, ever. I think I was less embarrassed before the transplant. I am 26 now and felt I needed to do something because I was looking like I was 40. The cost, $9,000. On another note, Dr. Yates offered PRP and instructed that I use Minoxidil. I have some knowledge of PRP (I have a relative who is a Dermatologist in the Chicagoland area who gave me information.) There is no standardized method of preparing and administering PRP and a lack of solid evidence that it is effective for hair loss. I declined to have PRP done. I make very little money and I was already distressed over the $9,000. I have attached recent photos. I don't usually keep my hair so shaggy, but I haven't had it cut since the Covid pandemic started. The transplanted hairs are on along my frontal hairline.

I feel so sorry about the result. It was so expensive. Thank you for sharing. Do you have a before picture. This will help people decide better hair transplant is not for everyone.

Are you on Finasteride? I find it hard to believe that this doc would do a transplant on a 24 year old (now 26) without him being on finasteride

I went to him too for a hair transplant and it was a waste of time and money
