Norwood 7 - bald for 20 years - FUT and FUE - 4500 grafts - Istanbul - Apaydin

I finally took the plunge and had the procedure in Turkey on October 17th. Like lots of people travelling I did as much research as possible beforehand but one is never quite sure how it will be in practice. I went with Dr Ilker Apaydin for the surgery and thus far (11 days after) everything has gone very smoothly.
So I will try to keep it simple on this first post and score some of the topics out of 10, with one being poor and ten being fantastic
Professionalism 9
Doctor 9 - did the initial consultation, the FUT strip and the channel opening as per plan, good bedside manner
Care from staff 9 - nice staff, friendly and helpful
Hospital Facilities 9 - like any good hospital in western Europe
Pain of procedure 6 - the anesthesia was a pain and overall the procedure was more painful than anticipated
Overall value proposition 9
I was a bit of a passive patient to some extent and went with the flow, I have seen some youtube videos that highlight issues with the Turkish package, in this instance though for the first experience I found it good but might be a little more active in my questioning etc. if I were to do another procedure.

After 2.5 months there is some small progress I guess , it has been incredibly itchy and quite uncomfortable over the past few weeks but I remain hopeful that there will be some progress. I think the four or five month update will tell a lot and my expectations at the beginning were relatively muted so no significant disappointment so far.

Really starting to see results, already very happy with the outcome, if it gets better then great, I hope there is a little more progress in the next few months. All irritation has gone and scalp feels fine except for one small scab which is not fully healed but this is my fault. Good follow up from surgery team they still send the odd check up question.
