I started losing my hair when I was 18 years old. Ten years have since passed and my hair loss has progressed and I realized that I wanted to restore my hairline to a more full look that I used to have. After researching several clinics for a few months, I realized that I wanted to check out Anderson Center for Hair to get a consultation. Upon the consultation, I met Nelson and Dr. Wetzel. Nelson was very friendly and informative about what to expect and asked me questions on what I was looking for. I then talked to Dr. Wetzel who said I would be a candidate for a hair transplant. Dr. Wetzel did not try to push any treatment on me and set up realistic expectations on where I should expect my hairline to be, how to maintain the grafts, and what would be best for me long term since I am young.
I decided on the FUT procedure. I went into the clinic about five days ago and had my transplant performed. The technicians drew my blood for PRP. All the technicians were so friendly, gentle, and informative. Dr. Wetzel made sure I was comfortable the whole time and for the vast majority of the procedure, I was asleep. I woke up at the end of the procedure and the technicians and Dr. Wetzel were finishing up my procedure. I had no pain and was comfortable upon waking until they finished.
It has been five days since the procedure and I haven’t had any pain. I have not had to take any of my pain medications and the only negative I’ve had is itchiness, which can be expected. I attribute the lack of pain due to Dr. Wetzel’s surgical technique. Since I knew he was trained as a neurosurgeon, I knew that I would get a surgeon that would be adept at wound closure. As a clinician who performs a lot of surgery myself, I was able to admire the suturing that Dr. Wetzel performed and I can tell that it is going to leave an almost invisible scar due to the high level at which he performed my surgery.
Dr. Wetzel and Anderson Center for Hair are very professional and the facilities beautiful. I can highly recommend anyone that is interested in hair restoration to get a consultation with Dr. Wetzel and discover your options. I’m looking forward to see my final result down the line.
