My Hairline Looks Very Sharp and Straight

WORTH IT
The density I got since my afro hair transplant at heva 7 months ago has been amazing. My hairline looks very sharp and straight, and it looks exactly like the barber-cut look I requested from the team, which also saves me the trip to my actual barber. Since I am now 3 months away from getting the green light to get an actual fade, let me share with you my experience at heva and why I think that they understand black hair better than most surgeons.

My journey with heva started because I had a receding hairline and thinning on the vertex. Usually, getting a hair transplant for this would be easy. However, as a black man with 4 c hair, finding the right person for the job was easier said than done. Most of the people I asked about getting a hair transplant even told me that I was better off embracing the thinning hair instead of getting a transplant because I would end up with a failed one because surgeons would damage my hair roots during extraction. I was about to give up but then someone pointed me in the direction of heva who had already done many afro hair transplants and after seeing their work and talking to them, I made the trip from New York to Istanbul. My surgeon was the real deal and he walked me through the afro hair transplant which he explained would be done using a specialized FUE technique with 3000 graphs. He used a large diameter punch tool sp my curled follicles did not get damaged and he even performed some test extractions just to check how deep my curls were before he started the full procedure. I appreciated that precision because it showed that he was treating me as an individual. The whole surgery took about 7 hours but was comfortable nonetheless. Afterwards, I got to meet the nurses who would advise me on how to care for my hair. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I thought they might not know enough about black hair but they knew even more than I did. They advised me to steer clear of moisture. Usually, we use oils on afro hair but I was told that if I continued with that routine, I would clog the follicles so I had a dry month where I was just using their shampoo and supplements, and this helped me avoid damaging the grafts. The only major issue I faced was some folliculitis at around month 2 and the team prescribed a cream that cleared the bumps in a few days. That is all to say that this is a team I would trust with my curls again.
