Detailed Review; Highly Recommend

I am in my mid 40's and my hair loss has been accelerating on the top back (crown) and my front hairline has been receding for some time.  I did a significant amount of research online and in facebook groups.Fortunately, I found Anderson Center for Hair and it was only 15 minutes from my house.  I called and scheduled my free consultation.  I met with Matt Longshore who is their new patient consultant and he was great.  I ask A LOT of questions by nature and he answered them all and did not kick me out.  The doctor also came in to answer some questions and look at my head (both donor and recipient areas and we discussed what he thinks he can get accomplished with a FUT (transplant) Then Matt and I went over all of the hair treatment options and costs.  I told him I needed to think about it. I contacted him the next week and asked if my wife and I can come in to see him again to get some more information.  I wanted my wife to see if she felt as good as I did about this hair center.  She was very confident and impressed with everything as well.  They have excellent reviews and a truly refined process.  They did not sugar coat things to sell me, they were very honest and forthcoming about what to expect during and after the procedure. On surgery day, everything went very smooth.  Once they gave me the sleepy medicine I was out until they woke me up to eat lunch.  15 minutes later, I was completely out again.  I did not feel anything during the procedure.  I don't remember much about the rest of that evening as I was still a bit loopy but the one thing I do remember is I was in some pain when I got home.  I did not take pain medication soon enough when I left the clinic.  Once I took it and the ambien I was out cold until morning...sleeping sitting up, btw.  Luckily I have an adjustable bed. The next few days were not very fun.  The pain was not severe but was present, but not enough to take the pain meds, I only took acetaminophen for the next few days; and ambien to sleep.  Sleeping sitting up is not great and it is uncomfortable for the first several days to lay down (upright)....the wound and stitches are all along the back of your scalp.  My face puffed up on day 3 and got worse on day 4 and 5 then was completely gone by day 6 or 7.  I looked odd, but it didn't hurt. The post-surgery care instructions they provide are very clear and easy to do each day.  For me the worst part was not being active for the 2 weeks post procedure.  I am typically very active every day...Day 13 I got my stitches out and the Dr. said everything looked great and I was free to be me again.   I can see the transplanted hair in my front hairline and on my crown, which is exciting and encouraging.  I know that the real results wont really show for a couple of months but I am very confident this will be a great decision.  I do highly recommend Anderson, they are true professionals and did everything they said they would and took great care of me.  Dr. Wetzel calls me back when I leave a message and takes time to speak with me and answer my questions.  I did not want to "skimp" on this procedure as it is quite important and a minor surgery, so I went with the best place I could find and so far I am very happy I did.   My advice is that if you want more hair in the future, just do it and do it soon.  No reason to have less hair anymore when there are procedures to rectify this.
