Black woman hair transplant Ft.Lauderdale with Dr.Siegel

Great Experience So Far

WORTH IT

Hello everyone. I have a hairline lowering a few years back because I felt my forehead was on the large side. Unfortunately the doctor didn’t make much of a difference and it left a scar on my forehead. I also did not get the result I wanted and felt my forehead was still on the wide side. I wanted baby hairs. I originally was planning to go overseas for my hair transplant procedure but after doing my research , I realized that it was too risky and I heard many horror stories about potential staph infections etc. I choose natural hair transplant because they work with my 4c texture hair , have good reviews and it’s close to home.

Due to the COVID pandemic , I was fearful of traveling from Texas to Florida , but luckily , I was able to change my flights so that I flew in less crowed planes. My flight to and from Miami we’re about 1/4 full, I had the row to myself on both flights. In the plane ride , I wore a surgical mask and kn95 ,gloves and googles, lol I was prepared, and had antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer handy. The flight to and from was honestly way better of an experience than I expected.

(Surgical day)i arrived at the clinic, I was So nervous . They sat my down in a room and I filled out some paperwork. 30 mins later I saw dr .siegel. He was super nice . We had a consultation And he gave me post op instructions . And I showed him a picture of what I wanted. He expressed how he really wanted for me to be satisfied , which made me feel good.

Next I went Ito the surgical room, which was very clean . I was greeted by 3 techs, they were nice, funny and relatable. Super full of energy . Everyone had on masks. They laid me down in the chair, there was snacks, juices, water on a table just for me. Next was the worst part!they administered local anesthetia. It lasted for 10 minutes and it hurt a whole lot. They gave me breaks because I was on the verge of tears. It hurt a lot a lot, I hate needles omg. Yeah , not going to lie, it hurt like HELL lol . Then afterwards they checked to make sure I didn’t feel anything before they started the procedure. I was numbed up pretty good . They handed me a remote and allowed me to play music I like on their big tv lol . The whole time they joked with me, laughed and made time go by fast. During the procedure I didn’t have pain . Towards the end I started getting antsy. When the procedure was over, I grabbed the bag they gave me filled with pain meds, antibiotics, water spray, neck pillow etc and the doctors number for any questions . When I got back to casitas coral ridge, I started feeling the effects of the anesthesia going away. It hurt really bad , super painful, 1-10, about 10. I was on the verge of tears , I was told to ice the area, which I did , but didn’t help, it’s hard to get comfortable sleep the first night . I slept for2 hours the first night . The ibuprofen I was given , did not help lol the next day I woke up , ate breakfast, took my antibiotic and walked to target nearby and used the written prescription for the Norco the doctor prescribed ( you are free to use or not use ).usually I decline narcotics after procedures but this time I didn’t, it was much needed and helped with the pain a lot. That night I flew home. When I arrived at the airport, this sweet woman named star at the Miami airport who worked for American Airlines, helped me get wheelchair service , which was much needed! Someone checked on me hourly at the airport as well. It was lovely. When I flew home I felt much better with the prescribed med and fell asleep on the plane (which was pretty empty)

Day 3 pain is still here but 1-10 it’s. 6.5. I definitely love my hairline .im so excited to see how it looks when it fills in .i will update monthly.

The office staff has made the process smooth , and they provided great service

Hi, Our reason for getting the hair transplant is the same. I did my procedure on the 18. I’m so anxious for hair growth, but I know it’s a process !

I have my consultation for my hair transplant procedure on July 7. It's so refreshing to see someone with a similar hair type to mine have the procedure done. I always felt like my forehead was just too wide & made me look more masculine. I love your new hairline! Best of luck to you on your journey!

Also how many grafts did you have to get in order to achieve this hairline shape?

Hey, it pretty much still looks the same. I’ll show the hair growth where the follicles were harvested. The front looks the same, just scabbed over, no growth yet. I’ll start using rogaine soon to speed up the Growth process

I am on day 5 and I feel okay. Pain level is still at a 6. The pain I feel is only located at the back of the head where the sutures were placed. During the day when I’m walking around , I don’t feel Too much pain if I’m on top of my pain regimen, I only take the strong stuff at night . I swapped out my neck pillow for one I have from TRAVELBLUE . Omg it is a life saver!!!!!!. So much more comfortable. . I feel some of my nerves waking up on my scalp . It’s a weird sensation lol but I’m glad they are returning. So far I’ve been following doctors order that were sent to me through my email. Everything is going very well
