Great Experience

My story—I’m not getting any younger and had been thinking about some type of procedure for a while, but even after studying it all on the Internet, I was confused. I finally decided I wasn’t getting any younger and if I was going to do this, I needed to get moving. In my Internet research, Anderson Hair Center kept coming up, so I called and scheduled a consultation visit. From the very first visit, I have been so impressed with the professionalism of the team at Anderson Hair Center. After my consultation, and thinking about it some more, I called back and scheduled my appointment.
I was as nervous as could be on the day of the procedure—I don’t think I slept more than an hour the night before. However, the team put me right at ease, and kept reassuring me that everything was going to be okay—and they were right—everything was okay. I ask a lot of questions—what is this for, what does that do—the ladies were so patient with me and answered every one of my questions. Dr. Wetzel met with me again before we got started to answer any questions and to calm my nerves and then we got started. Before I knew it, we were done. Looking back—I’m not sure what I was nervous about—the team was amazing, and you get the same type shots that you get when you go to a dentist, so there was almost no pain. The office insists that we have a driver when we leave, so I took an Uber back to the hotel, but I seriously thought I could have walked back if needed. The team reviewed the post-op instructions with me, and off I went back to the hotel.
I didn’t need the pain medicine prescribed for the first night—in fact, I didn’t need it all, so I threw it away after a few days to make sure I didn’t accidentally take it later. Dr. Wetzel called and checked on me on Day 5 after the procedure, and another team member called to check on me on Day 7. I had a few questions during the weekend, and I emailed Matt, and even though I told him he didn’t have to respond, he responded immediately to both emails.
All of the grafts “took” and stayed in place—I didn’t lose any—so I’m really excited to see what the next few months bring. I can’t say enough about Dr. Wetzel and his team. The only negative I could find—I’m a diehard GA Bulldog and he is a Texas Longhorn, so I did have to give him grief about the Bulldogs beating up on the Longhorns 3 times in a row! Otherwise, it has been an absolutely great experience so far.
