Dr. Suneet Soni and the entire team at Medispa, I want to sincerely thank you for bringing back my confidence and restoring my smile which got lost somewhere along with my hair!
My familiarity with hair loss came quite early in life around 23-24 years of age, what continued as a disappointed journey where I assuaged myself mostly everyday that I will eat more of good food, use good quality hair oil or shampoo and everything shall be fine.
Alas, it does not work like that, I understood in a span of couple of years that none of this is really helping my case since I was suffering from genetic hair loss or male pattern baldness and an early one. I started reading more and more about treatment methods and the only method that appealed to me is Hair transplant.
However, it being a surgical treatment, raised a lot of red flags in my mind and my parents were totally against the idea of me going under the knife for just hair loss. Well, it wasn’t ‘just’ hair loss for me, It was something that has interjected my happiness and hijacked my self-confidence. I had to constantly seek validation regarding my appearance within myself and from others. In a span of around 6-7 months, I had made up my mind to convince my parents and undergo hair transplant.
But I needed to find a high-quality hair transplant clinic for several reasons including the pandemic and my folks’ aversion to the medical intervention for hair loss.
So, I decided to consult Dr. Suneet Soni in Delhi and I was accompanied by my mother. Dr. Suneet Soni, apart from being a great surgeon, is also a great advisor. He presented the whole idea of hair transplant in such a simple and reassuring manner that my mother was also convinced about the idea. He explained us how hair transplant works, he analyzed my scalp situation and decided on the method to be used etc etc.
Medispa, has been designed in such a manner, that a good attention has been paid to even smallest of the aspect when it comes to patient well-being. The staff is also very courteous and forthcoming. Dr. Suneet Soni is very encouraging and is one of the few doctors (that I have met) who offered me to meet his past patients to see the results or understand their experience with Medispa hair transplant clinic.
Anyways, after me and my parents were convinced, I booked an appointment for the surgery day. Prior to the surgery day, a day in advance, some basic medical investigation tests were done and I was advised to carry reports of the same with me. The whole process was performed under local anesthesia and it took around 5-6 hours in my case for the surgery to end. I must say that every employee at Medispa took utmost care of covid precautions and sanitization due to the ongoing epidemic.
Dr. Soni then advised me about the precautions that I need to follow such not to wet my scalp for the next 24-36 hours and then take a gentle and short (in duration) shower without water exerting much force on the scalp. I was instructed how to gently rub my scalp without interfering or damaging the transplanted follicles. And yes, no rubbing or scratching of the scalp even if there is some itching.
He also advised me that after 10-14 days I may notice some shedding of hair in the transplanted area and I need not to be anxious about it, its absolutely normal and the roots will redevelop hair. He also advised me to not use hair dryer for a week or try any fancy hair care product for next 10 days.
In around 5-6 months, I could see good hair growth from the new follicles and my forehead now looks fuller with hair, Dr. Soni designed my hairline manually and I must say it has been an impressive job, because a lot of people who did not know of my situation before, can identify that I have undergone a hair transplant surgery. The flow of hair and the distribution allotted by Dr. Soni is very impressive.
