I Can Confidently Say That my Hairline Has Completely Changed in the Last Year.
WORTH IT
I traveled to Istanbul from Nigeria a year ago to get an afro hair transplant. With a Norwood 3 hair loss pattern that was progressing fast, time was not on my side. At the same time, I knew that an afro hair transplant involved nuances, such as a high transection rate and a high risk of scarring. For these and other reasons, I had been keen on discussing all these aspects with the surgeon before making the trip. I didn't want to risk anything and got the Diamond package that includes everything. Following my assessment on arrival, the surgeon revealed that he would need 3200 grafts to cover my hairline and would be using a serrated punch during the implantation. Per his explanation and my understanding, this serration allowed him to handle the curved follicles without damaging them. Given how intentional he and his team were during the surgery, I knew I was in the right hands and was even able to focus on watching videos on YouTube as they worked on my head for hours. I stayed back in Istanbul for 5 nights so that my wife could liaise with the Heva team on my care. They were very proactive in offering advice and checking in on how I was doing. I was healing as was to be expected but the first few days were very uncomfortable because I had a lot of swelling. Luckily, I was not in pain as I was on medication but the swelling was more than I had initially thought I would get. It went away after the first week. We flew home where my wife took charge of my care until the scabbing was over. I can confidently say that my hairline has completely changed in the last year. In fact, during my last check-in, we arrived at a density of 45 graft per square centimeter and it shows! Thanks soo much!!
