So I realized the other pics I had a bunch of gel on my hair.. These ones may better to see what I think I really look like in the "after" mode. I have an empty crown but I could care less right now, I will get a 2nd treatment and I have a huge amount of coverage already.

58 Years Old - 1 Year Out | Was Norwood 6 - I Am a NEW Man!
I was 58 when I received my transplant last November 2020. Have been losing my hair very slowly since I was in my 30’s and I was now a Norwood 6. For those of you who can relate, it sucks! I hated going bald and being bald.
Had always been interested in getting a hair transplant but to get the work I needed in the US was insanely expensive and honestly thank goodness for Real Self as that introduced me to surgeons outside of the USA. I spent months and months looking at reviews, doing research, getting overwhelmed, and after much work finally had 3 doctors that I had saved as favorites. I really think any and all of them would have been good but I 100% feel I got the absolute best one of all and by the way, I will be going back to Dr. Apaydin for my 2nd procedure. I started to communicate with the doctors and all got back to me. But only 1 said to get any decent results I needed FUE & FUT. The other two were just going to do FUE. At first, it wasn’t what I wanted to hear, but after talking to the Dr., it was clear I was NOT going to get the density I needed without both. His honesty about this was why I then booked with him.
Last November there was no vaccine and Turkey was getting close to possibly shutting down due to Covid, but I was able to get in just below the wire. The day I arrived they instituted a lockdown but only after like 8 PM.
Also coordinating with Dr. Apaydin’s office was amazing and a breeze and super professional. I want to take a minute to stress how much more professional and competent Dr. Apayadin is when compared to the surgeon’s I was talking to here in the US. Not only did I save a huge amount of money, I got to visit Turkey and my experience and final result are beyond anything I could have imagined.
Back to the story. Super easy to book the flight, direct from LA, they pick you up and take you to an amazing hotel. So I was booked into a neighborhood that was high end with boutiques, amazing restaurants, and felt like Beverly Hills. Super safe and posh.
I arrived the next day with my driver to the surgeon. He meets with you, you set the hairline and discuss then you get prepped. I am going to skip quite a bit about the experience, but it is a long long day and you already know that. But they are absolute professionals in every single aspect. You never ever get that feeling like “what am I doing?” or “why did I come to Turkey for this? Etc. My entire experience in every second confirmed I had done the right thing.
When it was all over I had 4,648 grafts and 10,069 hairs!!! Due to a large amount of baldness, we did not even work on the crown, that is for next time. But I got a new hairline, thickness on top and even down the sides.
I think for me, rather than show you the month by month photos, it’s just better to show you the before and the after pictures, 1 year later. Also keep in mind for the after photos I am using gel in my hair which makes the hair bunch up. If you look at the amount of new hair vs. the before, you will understand the results.
Recovery is a bitch, but you know that. The biggest bummer is just waiting for those hairs to come! But the reality is the rest isn’t that bad at all. Even flying back for 14 hours was fine.
In the past year, I have had many conversations with the Dr. about the results, sending photos, asking questions and he always gets back to me. This is just a first class Dr. and office in every single way.
Now to the bottom line. I am 1,000% happy. I have so much hair and that leads to feeling younger, more confident, sexier, and on and on. I don’t have to always hear all the bald jokes. Now I just want more hair and I am defiantly going to go back again and get more!
So many people notice my new head of hair and comment on it. I even am proud to tell them I got a hair transplant, why not!
I waited one year to do this review and Dr. Apaydin deserves it, his staff deserves it and I deserved to have more hair. Why did I wait so long to do this! I just wish I had done it sooner. If you are considering getting your hair transplant in Turkey then do IT and also make sure you give Dr. Apaydin your consideration, you will not be disappointed.

Good on you! Can you take a photo without gel ? Have you noticed more interest from women now?
Yes I will take some without gel and add them, it looks even more full. I have notice more interest from women but even more important is I can look in the mirror and it looks like hair!! So I have more confidence
Well done you. It's not all about attracting women it's feeling good for you.
It's what is important for each individual. Being attractive to women is important to me, may not be to you. I will do me, and you do you ;-) I love being more attractive to women again.
Looks awesome! I’m jealous because I’m nervous about actually doing it…your results look really natural which is my biggest worry.
Thanks I am so so happy and I am planning on going back for 2nd procedure.
