Almost 1 year post op review

Yo! So, just to kick off this short 11 months post op update, I'm feeling good and I can honestly say that this was one of the better choices I have made in life.
The implants grew really good. As said before, the recipient area grew slower than the rest of my head, but faster than the doctor told me. He told me that the hairs would fall out completely and that it would take some time. But the implanted hairs stayed there. I think I have to say that after 3 months my hair was back to normal, around 10cm.
I have to say that the density isn't that great, but they tried to make it as dense as possible. The donor area healed fine. The first three months the hairs didn't want to grow and you could spot the donor area (was pretty visible), but now its all covered - no scarring as far I can tell.
I think that I have to consider doing a treatment within now and 5 years to cover up further balding, but for now, I am pretty satisfied for the money I paid and the treatment I got.

4 MONTH POST OP & NO COMPLAINTS SO FAR ??

Hi all
I'm going to do a short update after a while of being silent. So the treatment went very fine. The pain/inconvenience was very little. I did not really think I lost a lot of grafts during healing season. While showering I didn't really follow my doctors guidelines of showering with a cup and gently massaging the recipient area. I showered just how I normally used too. Except for that I like hot showers, instead, i had more cold showers this past months. I didn't massage the recipient area. Massing the recipient area will actually make the hairs looser than they are. A lot of doctors advise massaging, but that's only too loosen up the scabs. I don't really care about the scabs so yeah..
Anyways, I'm four months later and I am pretty satisfied by the results. MCAN and medical staff did their best and I think it's showing. The bald area is covered up very well. However you can see the 'old' hairline, but for someone who doesn't know that I had implants.. they would never guess. So yeah I am doing fine and feeling great. I would recommend them for everyone else out there struggling.
What I have been using/doing these past four months:
- Using shampoo not containing any sulfate, sodium, alcohol and parabens
- Not using any conditioner or product to style my hair (untill after 8 months)
- Using 1MG Finasteride every day (no side effects)

Will update again in a few months ??

2 weeks post OP

Hi all,

So I am 2 weeks post OP and I am feeling great. I read a lot of reviews from other RealSelfers saying that had experienced something called shock loss? Which basically is that you loose all the hair from the newly placed grafts and have to wait a bit ( a month or two) to see some new hair flourish. Luckily/unfortunately I haven't experienced this (yet). The hair seems to be growing already and I am very happy to see the results.

I didn't really change my way of eating, still a lot of junk food now and then and some snacks during the day. The only thing I do is treat my scalp with some oil (see pic) I bought in Turkey for about 300TL (which is about €75) from the clinic. They didn't provide this themselves as being included in the treatment, they only gave me the shampoo. The first days I used this oil it kinda felt like little needles penetrating my scalp. I think this may be because of the fresh grafts. I am 16 days post OP now and the stinging sensation has decreased a lot.

So yeah.. I don't have any worries and am looking for the upcoming months :)

Cheers all
