Hi Everyone.
I write this 12 months after the transplant. The pick up and accomodation was great. The transplant itself was "fairly" painless. It was procedure was not pleasant but I expect it was as good as can be. It was carried out in a sterile hospital room. I elected for the needle free anethesia. I may not choose needle free again as it was painful.
After the transplant I found things uncomfortable and mildly painful for quite sometime (months). I think the post operative trauma is downplayed. The hair does take quite sometime to grow back. Dont expect anything resembling normal for 6 months. But it will come! You do look a bit wierd for a while so expect some embarassment.
You hair can only be as good as how much hair you have to donate. I required 3800 grafts. I think a few spots were over harvested on right side as they seemed bald when growing back. I was concerned but when all the hair grew it was fine. And then all my hair started to grow and thicken from month 6 to 12. After month 6 the results really started to show and I became very happy.
I did not buy or use any of the recommeneded pharmaceutical medication other than the hair vitamins.
Dont expect your hair to be luxuriously thick after month 12 of the transplant. But its thick enough to make a HUGE visual difference.
I should also say the Cosmedica Team implanted the grafts to really make for a hairline which looks good. Meaning the angle the hair grows from the scalp maximises the potential of each hair so it all looks thicker than it actually is. Something worth valuing when choosing Cosmedica.
In short the transplant process is more painful, slower than and somewhat more embarrassing than I thought. "BUT" Cosmedica were highly professional and THE RESULT IS FANTASTIC.

I am very happy I went through with the procedure and its made a real difference from my point of view. I would not hesitate to recommend Cosmedica, Dr Acar and his team. I would definitely use their skill and experience in the future should the need arise.
Again I can not fault any part of the service and the results were briliant. Bang for buck - its a bargain!

Hi, glad to hear you had good results with your hair transplant. You said the Needle-Free Anaesthesia was painful? How so?
