Hair Loss Topical Solution
This is my experience from around 3 years ago. I went to see the 'consultant' at his Harley St office in London about my hair loss. He charged £300 (around $420) for a 30-minute consultation. No problem. He recommended a topical solution which is a combination of 6% minox and a couple of other ingredients. I had to buy it through him, as it's specifically made by a chemist for myself and his other clients. Again no problem. But this is what I had trouble with :
1) he ran a antiquated 1990'2 style service - everything was done by snail mail, so letters would get lost in the post. Rather than ring me or email me they would send a letter, which sometimes I would not receive.
2) payment was via a cheque in the post, and every time I wanted to order more topical solution it would take weeks.
3) this is the crunch - he charged me around £180/months supply for this solution. For 3 years I put up with this. One day, I rang the pharmacy who made this solution and asked them if I could buy it directly - sure, they said, as long as I get a doctors prescription, and the cost - only £40. Wow, the doctor had been screwing me in multiple ways (on one check-up, he literally spent 10 minutes with me, and charged £320).
This was the final straw for me - I stopped seeing him 3 years ago, and urge anyone else to be cautious.
Don't let the 'Harley Street' address fool yo, like it did me. Good luck, and avoid the snake oil salesmen.
