Finesteride and Minoxidil

I started losing my hair in my late 30s and by 42 I had a pretty huge bald spot. I was considering hair transplant surgery but my dermatologist recommended I try Finesteride and Minoxidil first. For the first few months I saw nothing and thought that I probably was too far gone for it to work but by month 5 and 6 I was like wow this stuff is working. I’m a year in and very happy with the results. You can see from the pics below that I don’t have a thick head of hair or anything but at least the friar tuck is almost gone. Treatment is affordable at $15/month for the Finesteride and $26 for a 6 month supply of Minoxidil on Amazon. It is a lifelong commitment though since if you stop taking it you lose it all. I haven’t had any side effects.
