Day 8
$1,000
Only slightly peeling at this point, can't really see a difference in the scars, although I was told I would need 2 treatments and 3-6 months to see a difference.. After going through all that I did friends and relatives are dissapointed with the results (not to mention the cost) unsure if I will do the second treatment

Breaking out terrible!!!
oh no! I was afraid of that :( great now I am so scared.
how are you doing today? can you pot updated pics, I would love to see your face :)
Yes I will update it tomorrow I haven't been posting pics because my case was kind of rare and I didn't want to scare peoplepeople I had a terrible reaction to the moisturizer they gave me, my eyes swelled shut then I had a reaction to the antibiotics they gave me and broke out everywhere Lol I've had a terrible time with this but today which is day 7 im feeling better im peeling a lot my husband said he can't really see a difference in my skin (grrrrrrrr) however my son saids differently but im still a little swollen... I finally get to go back to work tomorrow originally I had only planned to take off 3 days for the procedure but 5 turned into 7 so just a warning you really need to prepare for anything to happen!
i found out im going 2oo deep. I think you went much deeper. So what antibiotics did they put you on?
if you wouldnt care, would you text me? 2702130150.... I am so nervous lol!!!!

Procedure itself wasn't that bad, they had me take adivan and loratabs when I got there (which made me uncomfortable because usually I never take anything stronger then a tylenol) they put a numbing cream on me and gave me several shots so I really didn't feel anything during the procedure, smell was a little uncomfortable im assuming it was burning skin... They were very gentle and very concerned about me being comfortable. I wish I would of asked how deep they went because im assuming by the way I look today it was pretty deep.. The worse part about the procedure was I wouldn't stop shaking not sure if it was nerves or what.. When I got home there was a lot of blood , today the day after there is still a lot of blood and oozing, severe swelling and just a general feeling of being uncomfortable ... My husband refuses to look at me at this point lol, this gives me high hopes that I will have a good outcome. I will post daily at the progress

Hi - thank you so much for sharing your experience and pictures...how are you doing now?
Today is day 7 and its been an experience to say the least probably one I won't do again... But I think my skin reactions to everything has been kind of rare apparently im extremely sensitive and allergic to everything haha... I had taken off 3 days for this procedure but ended up taking off 7 ... Im still peeling a lot and the doctor said i will continue to peel for awhile so its really hard to tell the difference...as far as my deep scar I really don't see a change but they told me it usually takes twice for the procedure and around 4-6 months to see an improvement ... But this was one of the worst experiences with the swelling and blood then infections but again I think I was rare oh and did I mention the severe break out right after Im pretty sure that's common though. On the plus side I had an excellent doctor and support team in the office they were there at all times the doc even gave me their personal cell to reach them at night... I will post pics tomorrow afternoon and continue to do so ... All I cam say if you don't have serious issues with your skin I probably wouldn't go this route
Hi - I am so sorry to hear about your experience thus far. I hope things turn around soon and your skin starts to feel better. Thank you again for posting and sharing your experience...it has been very helpful in deciding if I want to do this.
You are very lucky! Where I went they gave me NOTHING! No meds and no numbing cream! I thought this was normal until reading posts after the fact.. I felt everything.. smelled flesh burning.. I was shaking uncontrollable the whole time..teeth chattering and all muscles in body sore all night from all my shaking during procedure.. was only told I'd feel better in an hour or so of leaving.. needless to say by next day my face was still on fire. Ice packs melting on face every two mins I have not had more than 3 hours of sleep a day for almost 2 weeks..hospital visit even made things worse with giving meds I had allergic reaction to and whole body is covered in rash and itchy.. went to another dermatologist 2 days ago and finally am starting to get better.. still can't sleep or stop itching.. I had a steroid shot in office, steroid script to keep taking, pills to kill bacteria, and cream to put on rashes.. but my face swelling has gone down.. redness is fading.. obviously I have not stepped foot outside of house in 2 weeks aside from hospital and derm apt...I feel very stupid for trusting ppl and not doing my research before hand to know what they were suppose to do before just laying there letting them do this to me!
It seems that each doctor has his own way of doing things. It's hard to know what to believe even when you do the research. I was told by my pharmacist that it is protocol to be prescribed an antiviral before the procedure. My doctor says no and that my swollen lips and cold sores which appeared had nothing to do with the treatment. One month later still red and burning like my face did.
