6 month post-op

Okay so haven't posted an update in a very long time. It's been 6 months now since my surgery. To make a long story short, everything turned out perfect. The scars on the back of my years were very visible for a few months but now you can't barely tell unless you really focus on that spot (which people don't normally do). Although luckily I had a happy ending, it was not easy. At some point during my first month I did have an accident in which the stitches on my left ear broke. I didn't know at the time because I couldn't really tell. The bleeding wouldn't stop so I called Dr. Price and be asked to go in so he could check it out, and that's when I found what had happened and had to get stitched up again. When he removed the dissolvent stitches out, I waited for him in a room and looked in a mirror and realized that my ear was sticking out again, and I panicked. And after I got my left ear stitched again, due to the fact that they were different stitches now, the pain that I had to deal with for the next few days was horrible, compared to the little to no pain at all before my accident. The next night I removed the dressing and hoping that the ear returned back to how it was, closer to the head, just to find out that it didn't and it was still sticking out and that's when I knew that I messed up the surgery and now it was worse since one ear was pinned back while the other wasn't. So I just went to bed upset, woke up the next morning and checked in the mirror and to my surprise the ear returned back to its place. I did feel some pain sleeping on my side for a few months, but now I don't feel a thing, and am able to fold my ears in any direction to its limit and nothing happens. So if anyone has the same issue that I once had, being really self conscious about your ears and thinking about getting an otoplasty, do it, it's worth it..and if you're around the New England area, I recommend getting it done with Dr.Price, because trust me, ever since that day, my life has changed and I got the confidence that I once thought was impossible.
