So in my mind I am set on getting this done but I have a bad habit of letting people get to me, let me get more in detail .. When it comes to family I have two family members who seem to support me the rest keep referring to the infamous story of a pageant queen (riena de Duran) it is very similar to the story about the girl from new York who died on cabarals table when being operated on. this young lady from ecuador was 19 and had won the operation. There are about 5 different stories about what exactly happened. The main one that is being past around is just
Simple. Bad practice. The one I've heard is that the doctor who was originally suppose to operate on her didn't. It's hard to really narrow it down but being that I've decided on getting work down in Guayaquil this is being constantly thrown in my face. I understand that they are worried which is fine it's expected but what gets me going is the fact that they go on about it being done in a country that is "not advanced" (Colombia,DR,ecuador, etc) basically anywhere that ain't canada or usa. They seem to not understand that no matter WHERE YOU GET WORK DONE you are putting you life at risk period. There's been cases of people dying right here in North America but we have advanced medical care right? I guess my point is has anyone had to deal with this? Having family and friends opinions get to them and try and scare them out of doing this ?! Cause at the moment it's what I'm dealing with on daily basis. Next week I will be going to get blood work done to see if I'm good to even proceed with the operation. By the way i forgot to mention the doctor I have chosen is not the same doctor who operated on the pagent queen.

After going from wanting to be a Duran doll, yilly Barbie, to looking into Colombia since I am originally from South America I decided on a doctor from back home in Ecuador Guayaquil. I've spoken to him and got a response the same day very helpful and kind. I am a little nervous due to the fact that it's hard to find reviews on other females who have had work done in ether Colombia or Ecuador but I've done research on Dr. Nelson Rodriguez and thanks to family who live there and looked into the clinic (omni hospital) and to also find out he is very well known in Guayaquil for operating on the males and females that are on television I feel a little less nervous and looking forward to this experience and hope to help girls with their journey any way I can or any females who is interested in getting work done in Ecuador :) will update soon
