I am 17 years old and I decided to get a rhinoplasty because i could not breathe and my nose was very broken. I decided to do it in Guatemala because my dad's insurance could cover some of it. that same day i went to my first appointment, i got my tests done and everything to prepar my surgery. I got surgery a Monday. The first three days were hell, i could not breathe, taste, my head was hurting, i was sleepy all the time. I took off my packing MYSELF because my doctor could not take them off since it was stuck with all the dried blood but i was tired of them so when i went home i pulled them off and it hurt so bad!! I got my splint a week post op and my doctor said there swelling and it would not go away till some weeks. I am on week 5 and i still feel like i am swollen more than normally, i have a bump on my bridge but i guess its normal after all the trauma my nose went.

My doctors were great! i got to guatemala june 5, and i called dr. molina i was in guatemala already and he said to go right away to his clinic to get my nose diagnosed. He said he does not do plastic surgery so he contacted one of the best plastic surgeon in the city. Dr. molina is so funny and loves ducks!! his office has more than 600 of ducks lol!! Dr. olmstead was nice and took in consideration what i wanted but he also told me that he will work with what the shape of my nose is. They were both great and i would recommend them to anyone who wants to have surgery out of the U.S.

Thank you very much for sharing your story so far! Here's what some doctors say about a bump on your nose after rhinoplasty (could be uneven swelling). Please keep us updated as you continue to heal!
