23 Days Post Op
I really notice a difference lately. I definitely feel smaller. My husband says I look smaller but its hard to see on yourself. Pictures help some though... I knew going into this that I would never have a "bikini body" but rather "looks decent in clothes" body. I know saggy, lumpy skin is to be expected having lost almost 90lbs. When I'm in my compression garment and jeans I look nice. Way better shape than I used to have. I do feel like I'm a little uneven, one thigh being bigger, so hope it does continue to improve. I know it's too early to judge my results. All in all I'm feeling positive about them so far.
12 Days Post Op: feeling better and a little smaller
Plastic surgery is rough, man. The first week or so you think about if it was really worth it because you are suffering so much...
It's been 12 days and I don't really take pain medicine anymore. I was taking only ibuprofen after the first week. It mostly feels like regular bruises. There are a couple of firm painful lumps on my outer thighs. All my research shows them to just be normal part of recovery. I'm buying a small massager to see if I can work them out a little. Still wearing my compression garment every moment except when I shower. When I'm in my clothes I can really see a difference. The compression garments smooth everything nicely of course... I actually might miss them. They are like super Spanx!
I was so swollen the first week, I actually weighed about 8 pounds more. That has mostly subsided and I can finally start to see a small difference in my pictures. My saddlebags aren't quite as pronounced but they are still there. Hoping this is just the start of my improvement and that I will continue to shrink. I'll be going back to the gym soon and maybe that will help.

1 Week Post, Swollen and Bruised
After the first 48 hours I could take off all my bandages and blood-stained garment. My husband had to help me take off the bandages and they were disgusting and smelly. They were like menstrual pads that someone had been wearing for 2 days straight. We immediately put my garment in the washer. My nurse had suggested I buy 2 because I will have to put one right back on again after I shower. This was great advice, because the first one took two washes to get clean and had to air-dry.
I am one week out and my thighs measure 1 inch bigger than they were before the surgery. I am so swollen and still very sore. Bruises showed up after a few days and are still pretty bad. My thighs are swollen and firm and warm to the touch, especially where the darkest bruises are. I know with the amount of fat he took out, that there will be a difference eventually. It is just hard because I can't see it yet. Still taking all kinds of pills everyday to help with pain and swelling.
On day 4 I got my sutures out. He said I would come back in six weeks and to wear this garment for 4 weeks non stop except bathing for best results. Update again soon!
