3 months post TT and Lipo....getting impatient for the final results!
I know all the docs and reviewers say that it takes sometimes 9 months or more to see the final results so I'm trying not to get too impatient. I'm pleased with my results (no more loose skin and definitely a flatter front) but I have a little pudge above the belly button. I know my doc couldn't get all the fat but I don't want to have a roll there that shows up more when I have on slacks with a waist band. He's going to do a little Lipo with a local on the spot at the end of the scar soon but I'm wondering if I'll need that upper ab area lipoed also. I've lost about 3 or 4 pounds since the surgery (my PS removed 2 lbs of fat) so it's not from gaining weight or fat. But I would still do all again. I know at 66 I won't look like a teenager but I'm so thrilled to have a relatively flat stomach for the first time in my life!
9 weeks and counting...
Enjoying going to the gym (well, most of the time) and I'm still improving but still rather sore. I do my crunches every morning but still have some swelling. My PS said that if I don't work on my abs to keep the muscles tight, they tend to want to relax again. I sure don't want to have wasted all this pain and expense. I look better in my clothes (and out of them!) but I'll sure be glad when the lumps (swelling?) go away. I have a little pocket of fat above the incision on one side but my doc will probably do a little lipo there with just a local. Everything considered, I'm really glad I didn't chicken out before having the surgery.
Tummy Tuck with Lipo 5 weeks ago tomorrow!
Doing really well, love the fitted tops that show my new flat front! Still can't wear slacks for very long as I'm still awfully sore and still swollen some. But I cut the elastic in several places in the waist band and pinned it to my girdle so it wouldn't fall off! Standing 99% straight but I still need a little pain med every 10 to 12 hours, usually 600 to 800mg Ibuprofen. I wonder how long the soreness lasts. Using scar cream on the incision to soften it. I've always been small busted but my breasts seem a little larger which is a nice by-product. Not sure why but my husband is happy! There were a couple of days the first week that I (almost) wished I had never heard of a tummy tuck but I'm really glad now I went through with it. I never in my whole life dreamed I could have a flat tummy. My PS said I should do crunches by the 6th week and I plan to go back to the gym after that. To those who have just had your TT, hang in there, it does get better.
