In 2014 I had a very poorly done biopsy on the tip of my nose. This biopsy was performed by a dermatologist in Murrysville who reveled in the fact that he has more than 30 years of experience. The procedure was to be routine and was specifically stated by said Doctor NOT to leave me with a sunken scar. After my healing process was finished. I was left with exactly that, a sunken scar on the tip of my nose which was much wider in diameter than that which needed to be removed. I returned to the same Dr. some months later to allow him to see what he had done to my skin. His literal reply to me at the end of it all as he walked out the door was "at least you don't have a bump on your nose anymore" . After months of depression and hours of research on ways to fix this incompetence I managed to get enough nerve to find my way into Dr. John's office. My first meeting was with P.A. Kate who immediately could see that I was distressed about my scar and recommended Profractional Laser. Once a month for five months I would visit Kate at the Greensburg office for this procedure. This laser slightly lifted and smoothed the edges of my scar to allow for the second procedure to occur with Dr. Johns. I then met with Dr. Johns himself once a month for four months to undergo subcision which aided in lifting the scar to near level surface area with the surrounding skin. He went out of his way multiple times to accommodate me with his 70 plus hour work week to help me. The third step was with P.A. Colleen. Kate and I had the idea to lift my scar with Juviderm injectable to promote lift in the scar and to promote collagen formation. Colleen was kind and professional enough to meet with me twice a month for three months to inject the scar site which ultimately gave me permanent lift within the parameters of the scar. Now at the end of my scar correction phase I am resurfacing the scar area completely with P.A. Kate and undergoing Micro Laser Peel to tighten the skin and pores around the scar area. This is true TEAM professionalism at it's finest. Dr. Johns, Kate, Colleen and the entire staff are all on the same page. Their number one objective is to listen and genuinely find ways to help you achieve your goal. No matter what it may be. They are amazing people who just happen to be a Dr. and Excellent P.A.'s. I am truly thankful for all that you have done.
