My Journey - Greensboro, NC

My first birth left me with a loose, saggy, and quite disfigured looking abdomen. For 15 yrs I had a low self-esteem and hated the way I looked in the nude and clothed. 3 children later I decided to treat myself to Sx. It was very worth it, it looks great S/P 6wks later however I am still in pain. I'm assuming I'm still swollen b/c the top of my belly is full looking. For me it was important to just have the saggy skin and fat removed and that is now gone. The pain has lessened and is tolerable but still very uncomfortable. I have my 6 wk f/u appt in two days and if anything hasn't healed correctly unless its life threatening I will never do this again. If I had to do it all over I would but I would also make sure I can have proper recovery time and help. After Sx immediately I was back to taking care of my kids, ages 2,5, and 15 alone then two weeks after Sx I had to move out of my 5 bedroom home as I relocated. This was way too much stress and I don't believe I healed properly but it looks good lol !!! In addition, I had accessory breast tissue removed from under both arms. It was also a result of child birth, it was horrible in tank-tops or halter tops and is improved 100% but one underarm is very painful to lift my arm up. This is my journey.....
