YAY I Finally Have Boobs!! - Greensboro, NC

ORIGINAL POST

Hello ladies! This site has been so helpful for me...

Hello ladies! This site has been so helpful for me so I decided to share my experience in hopes I could possibly help someone else! I am 19, about 5' 6" 130 pounds. I chose to go with smooth round moderate plus 400cc saline implants. It ended up being that the left was filled to 400 and the right to 420. I went for my consultation March 20th and then knew this was definitely what I wanted to do.

My pre-op was scheduled for March 27th where I then paid the remainder of the amount in full! At that point, it really hit me, I was finally going to have the boobs I had always wanted! My main reason for wanting breast augmentation was just merely to " have boobs". I was a 34B (if that) prior to surgery and I am hoping to be a full C or small D. I cannot wait to go get sized! So far, everything is going smoothly. I was prescribed 3 medications. One for vomitting, one for infection and the other for pain of course. I have been taking all those regularly, just to be safe.

The only complaints I have would be with my right breast. When I lay down and then raise back up it tends to burn pretty badly and I have quite a bit of pressure. I am hoping after a few more days this will subside. Also, I feel so bloated! I had no idea if this was a side effect of the medicide or if it was me retaining water or what it could be. I realize I would gain SOME weight just from the implants but, I feel so fat, right in the belly area! I weighed and had gained about 6 pounds! I was quite shocked when I saw the scale. I was wondering if anyone else out there had experienced this problem and if so, when will it go away?! Or is there anything that I can be taking to help this issue?! So far I am very happy with the results, even though I do know that I still have a ways to go!

Thank you for your kind comments. Your symptoms of pressure and burning are common and should subside within a couple of weeks. Also, it is not uncommon to have some bloating after surgery - the anesthesia and the pain medication will cause this. Hydration and possibly a stool softener will help this while taking your medication. Thank you again! Dr. Coley

Thanks for sharing your experience here on RealSelf. I hope the burning and bloating subside soon so you can enjoy your new girls!

Congrats on your new boobs!! I got similar implants (420cc saline unders) and I have had the same feeling of burning when I get up. I think its just the muscles stretching. I also gained weight too! And my belly is swollen also. That just happens from the people I have been talking to. Very normal! Your boobs look wonderful! I am very happy with mine I just hope the gap closes slightly. Anyways, congrats on your new additions! Keep me posted on your recovery!

LauraAsh86- I have noticed in the past couple days the burning has subsided quite a bit. Also, I am back down to two pounds more than what I weighed previous to the augmentation. Very happy about that! And thank you, I love them! Glad you are satisfied with yours as well! I plan to post a few more pics soon.

I am having surgery in 4 days, im doing 400cc saline under the muscle as well, was just wondering what you ended up in, as far as bra size?

mnh- I have yet to actually get fitted but, so far I am thinking I am going to be a 36C, I was a 34B (if that) prior. After reading everyone's different experience I'm not really sure though. I noticed some people got fewer cc's but yet were saying they would still be a full C, so I'm not 100% positive. I'm very anxious to find out for sure what my correct bra size will be. What were you thinking or were told?

2 weeks post-op today! I feel great. I have started back walking. Well I actually started back about 3 days after my surgery. I am used to working out and I just can't stand doing absolutely nothing. However, I am wondering if it isn't such a good idea. My boobs feel like they are swelling and about to pop out of my chest. I go for my 2nd post-op appointment today so I am going to ask my Dr. They are still pretty hard but I have been massaging for a week now and have definitely noticed them softening up. Will be posting more pics soon!

Same here and yes I agree! I got a 34D from VS. But I tired on a few bathing suits from there and I can't even wear a large top! I'm hoping it was just because of the style

the pic I posted of me n the white top is a medium from VS. I think it really depends on the style with swim suits :) I am just thrilled I dont have to get an XS anymore!!! lol

Ok, at my 2nd week post-op appointment I ask about working out and was told I can't do any type of moderate excercise for like 8 weeks and also to wait and get fitted after 8 weeks. I'm so impatient lol but I am definitely going to wait so I get the best accuracy of what size I actually do need! I did purchase a 36C and a 34D, both seem to fit. So far everything is still going great!

Thanks so much!! I see that you are struggling with the size of yours, I think they look very good myself!! Like everyone else is saying, give it time, they definitely change a lot! I have noticed so many changes just in the past couple weeks. Also, as time goes on you will get more and more used to them I believe! Stay positive :)
