Finally whole again!

Hi guys! It's been a long time since my last post mainly because there was nothing to report. I was just patiently waiting to have my final surgery when happened yesterday.

I was in so much pain yesterday because my pocket had began to close so he had to reopen it :( I am feeling so much better today and am so happy to have 2 boobs the same size! No more stuffing one side

The new boob is sitting high just as it did the first go round but I am expecting it to drop fairly quickly as it did the first time! I am so happy to have all of the complications behind me!

Post op today

So today was my post op from getting the implant removed. It went great. My PS wants me to be on antibiotics for 10 days before attempting to put in a new sterile implant in. He has really been great throughout this whole ordeal. Hopefully in 2 weeks I can go for my next surgery.

I just want to say that the support on here has really helped me to cope with this unfortunate situation. I was feeling really embarrassed and somewhat guilty especially since I choose to have this procedure done. You ladies and your kind words have meant so much to me! Thank you

2 week update :.-(

So today makes 2 weeks since my surgery unfortunately I've had to have one of my implants removed.
Over the holiday weekend I noticed some drainage from my right incision. It was a thick pinkish fluid. Contacted my PS and he said it looked like a seroma and to let it drain. The next day the tape came off my left incision and it began to drain very dark red almost black blood. Went to see my PS Monday (yesterday) and he said the left incision was draining old blood but the right incision looked like it could be infection based on the color of the drainage. He wanted to explore the pocket and see if it was infection in it and if so remove the implant.

I had high hopes going into the OR that I would wake up with two healthy boobs. This was not the outcome. I am scheduled to have a new implant put in in 2 weeks. I'm sad that this happened but more thankful that we caught it early before anything worse could happen. Although it was a small infection, I know that a small infection can lead to Capsular contracture later on down the road.

He is very straight to the point. He has taken good care of me so far and done what he felt is best when it comes to my health. His staff is absolutely wonderful. Very professional and friendly. I've loved being under their care. I experienced some complications and Dr. Coley was amazing in managing my care. He is someone you can put your trust in. I def recommend this office.
