I'm going in for gastric sleeve tomorrow I'm starting to be a little nervous. It's hard to believe that I've been working towards this for 5 years and it's finally time. The two week diet has been quite challenging but I am down 23 pounds since my heaviest weight at 355. Fingers crossed for a safe surgery and quick recovery.

Hi everyone I'm home. Everything went fantastic. The pain was really not that bad I'm doing fine now haven't been on pain meds for 3 days. It's been kind of hard to get the protein shakes down and a lot of gas pain. But I'm staying hydrated and I could finally showered today. So far I am just extremely excited about my decision. ThankThank you everyone for your positive remarks

Wow good for you. Steadfast and keep trying to get that protein in you. Try isopure protein drink zero carbs they have different flavors and not so heavy as the shakes. Good luck!

I have truly been blessed through this entire process this far. I haven't used pain meds, felt nauseous or had a single regret. I'm down 16lbs so far and my energy levels are surprising myself. What is tough is getting bored with the same liquids for the last 6 days. It's getting better though, I bought a few new things that I can start to have tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that! Hope everyone is having a great 4th :)

It does get boring eating the same thing over and over, but the time will go by quickly! I ate lots of jello and puddings. Well not sure you can have puddings yet, but jello was good. Good luck!

That's so sweet. Congrats to her and thank you. I think just your being there is going to be a huge help. Its much easier when you have company and support.

You are so sweet! I could not have done it if my husband had not been here. The anasthesia kicked my butt! Just keep giving her fluids and protein drink..,not shake. Dehydration can be a big problem. Good luck!! Also..she should walk around..protect from blood clotting.

I had The Sleeve Aug 5th of 2015 and have lost 70 pounds. I was 61 turned 62 that Dec. and all I regret is waiting so long to have it done. I was a 24-26 in clothes I am wearing a size 14. I haven't been a 14 since I was 14. I have a neck now and when people say "What you do with loose skin? I say "what did I do with fat skin? This I can hide but fat we can't all the world knows what our addition is. Kudo's to you girl on your journey it will be a sweet one. By the way in 2011 I had a heart attack while working out at Curves! Six stints and 70 pounds later, I am now healthier than I have been in years.

Happy surgery day July 19th today. Tell your daughter her life is going to change for the better all the way around as you lose the most in the first three to four weeks due to liquid diet. The best for me was those delicious Premier Protein shakes. You can get them at WalMart, Cosco or Sam's and the chocolate ones taste just like chocolate milk. You will love how easy it is after surgery as you are not starving but missing some foods. You will soon be down the road to scrambled eggs and then like me a year later, you will be able to eat anything you want. The difference is you don't want it all anymore. Happy times ahead...
