This man is a good example of abuse of power. I believe that he knows that he has the power to affect the outcome of peoples lives. He can greatly improve someones life by giving them the best results possible and he can ruin someones life by nearly disfiguring them in his operating room. I feel like I was singled out by this "Dr." I showed up at his office for a mommy make over which included liposuction and breast lift. After surgery I went home and I could tell something was wrong even through the support garment. When I looked there was no question about it, I had sloppy lumpy liposuction on my abdomen and my areolas looked like giant octagon shaped saucers. How can an experienced doctor such as DR. Hvistendahl get my surgery so wrong? Especially with all of his 5 star reviews. This is why I feel that he did this purposefully. Something about me he did not like. I left a one star rating on his yelp and it was removed how fair is that? Thank god that another surgeon was able to fix me by performing a half tummy tuck and another breast lift. I love my new results even though I had to live with disfigurement for 4 years and pay another 10 thousand dollars. But Im just thankfull that I look normal again.

Why would a surgeon single you out to purposefully disfigure you? I only ask because I can't imagine any surgeon jeopardizing his reputation...because he didn't like you?!

Yes it happens. Or the surgeon somehow is just lazy that day or thinks you have super low standards, or just thinks he can half ass it and "yea I'm sure it will be okay, shes too nice, she wont ever complain" .. speaking from experience. That's why you need to find a surgeon who has great skills yes, but also be 100% sure he really cares too.

I don’t think it’s because he didn’t like me. He was very very nice to me during the consultation. He made it sound like the surgery would be soooo easy. He told me he’s done many mommy makeovers. I don’t know what it was that triggered him to do that to me. But it was done so terribly wrong that it wasn’t an accident. My areolas were the shape of stretched octagons! They were round before he touched them. I had ripples and dents throughout my abdomen with a GIANT dent under the right side of my belly button. He also charged me for Lipo on my back (bra strap area) but there was no change in that area. Maybe he saw me as quiet and vulnerable, I was there alone at 23 years old with two toddlers. No husband, family, or friends.....I really don’t know what triggered him to do this to me but I have been following his reviews on yelp and various websites about twice a year and other people have been disfigured by him too. And somehow those reviews get removed just like my reviews. I’m so surprised to find that this review is still here. I’m in a bit of disbelief right now. If you look at his yelp under the “removed reviews” section there are many people there too who have been disfigured by this man but their reviews were removed along with mine. That is so unfair because we can’t even warn other people that this man can give you the best results or the WORST results depending on his mood that day.

Just thinking that a MD can do wrong purposefully is out of the realm of reality.
