Very Unpleasant Experience
I undergone two energy plus green peels 3 weeks apart which is the less intense peel before the classic. I think the green peel is great because it’s herbal and natural it’s not like you’re putting harmful chemicals in your body. I would recommend if you’re looking for fast results as your skin is visibly brighter and clearer than how it was before in less than a week.
However, the process of getting it done was awful. I have quite a high pain tolerance and the feeling of the herbs being intensely scrubbed into my skin was close to unbearable. It only gets more uncomfortable from here as your skin will be very sensitive and sore to touch, it’s almost like a prick and it’s the worst thing because they won’t stop unless you scratch it. I would constantly feel my skin feeling itchy and it’s so awful because the itching doesn’t stop until maybe 3 days after getting the peel and even then you’ll feel an urge to itch your skin every now and then. The down care time is 3-5 or 5-7 days depending on the intensity of the peel you get.
I don’t want to discourage anyone from getting the peel as it has proven it does work and produces amazing results but just remember that it isn’t a pleasant procedure. You will feel uncomfortable and hate it because for the duration of your downtime, your skin will feel prickly, always itchy and scratchy it’ll become daunting to the point that you don’t want to get another peel done. However, I did suck it up and went for my second peel but it will be my last because the aftercare symptoms are simply too much for me to handle. I know there are other treatments that don’t have unpleasant symptoms and will still produce the same results. So to whoever is reading this go for it but just be prepared.
