i am 50 years old with a good skin, no wrinkles at all but with a small laxity that only me notices it. I decided to do a pdo lift as my neck, under my chin was a bit loose. The plastic surgeon assured me that the treatment was nothing to be afraid of . She put two pairs of pdo threads on each side. My drama started after that... The threads broke, giving unnatural shapes to my face, i had pain as they were gothered under my chin , under my eye, my cheek...but the worst of all is that they seem to have pulled down the muscles of my face as they gave me fat and heavy jowls which i didn' t have, deep marionette lines and my neck under my chin is very loose. I have a long face and i look older... everybody asks me if i have lost weight and a couple of people when they called me and i turned back were surprised and said "ohh"... i m very worried and i don' t know what to do and who to trust ...

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this. I was contemplating getting them in my cheeks and have the same concerns about problems with sagging, etc. I'm so sorry this happened to you, but thank you so much for sharing.

Sorry, but do you know if she used the barbed type of threads or just the thin/hair-like threads. My provider will use the hair-like threads if I decide to get them. She says she does not use the barbed and does not like them.

she used the barbed ones which caused me a lot of pain, scratching (if i use the right word) when they were broken and part of them was collected under my chin. I could not touch my skin, to wash my face or put on my cream

Ugh, I'm so sorry to hear that. That sounds terrible. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and replying back to me. I am very nervous about this procedure and will definitely factor in your experience to my decision. I am leaning towards no for sure. Just sounds like too many problems can arise with these.

I also regret it. I have 2 on each side of my face. There is dimpling and visible lumps on both sides of my lower face. This was sone a week ago.Now I don't know what to do. I wonder if removing them might make it worse. Then I wonder if leaving them in and just wait it out. I can't find an answer as to whether collagen growth will resolve the lumps once the thread dissolves. Or if the collagen growth will take the shape of the wire.

there is no collagen growth, nothing... they are all lies... Thank God, the threads resolved in two months
