I went for my 2nd post op appt. today and I'm happy they removed both my drains(A Cause for celebration). I feel so much better now. Still have a long way to go. I have swelling and it still hurts were the liposuction was done. I keep telling myself one day at a time. Next step is the massage which I will get Monday. I'm nervous about that being that I still hurt at the touch. But I'm told you feel much better afterwards. So I'm down for it. I looked at my incision today I'm on the fence with how I feel. I guess I have to wait to all the swelling goes down to give a valid opinion. So until then I have high hopes.

I am so excited for you. I had one drain removed Wed at my 1st appt and should have the 2nd one removed Monday. Flying home yesterday was a hard trip but glad to be home. I'm very sore today and going to relax. Overall I feel good one day at a time. ;)
You will feel like a new woman when the last drain is removed. I'm still very sore and numb. Tried to sleep in my bed last night and it didn't work out so well, ended up back in the glider 3 hrs later. This feeling is really weird and I wish it over soon. I can't wait to walk totally up right. I'm happy you're home that alone should make you feel better. You have a doctor in your home town that you're going to do follow ups with?
I hope you are doing well and healing great. I am doing good but still have some pain, pulling and swollen. My last drain comes out tomorrow and I can't wait. Finally a real shower. Lol. It was still draining approx 30-40cc a day but has not been in the last few days so hopefully. I finally slept in bed for the first time a few nights ago. I had to prop up my head and a pillow under my legs. I did sleep peacefully. I've taken the compression wrap off a few times but I can't wait to put it back on. Lol I feel like everything is falling out. Each day we heal more. As long as we follow Doctors orders. Lol. Happy healing and have a great day.
How's the progress going?

3 days post op

Today was a better day. But the gas is a killer, the surgilax tablets have not helped me go the bathroom to #2. I'm able to walk witha cane by myself but I prefer not to, it just so much more of a strain. I use it if my husband is out of the house or knocked out sleeping at 4 am lol. I haven't sleep through the night yet. I've been using my rocking chair glider and foot rest( that I'm glad I never gave away). Thanks to reading everyone's post about recliners. I pulled it out the garage and cleaned it up before hand and it's been a life savor. My post op appt was changed from monday to tuesday. Which kinda sadden me, i was looking forward to taking this compression garment off. Guess one more day won't kill me but I just want to rub my skin it's becoming so itchy. My liposuction areas are still very sore but I know this all takes time. Trying to stay positive.

I hope you are doing well and better today. Today is day 5 for me and I felt a turn around again this morning. I even washed my own hair in the kitchen sink. I am back in my recliner with my feet up and resting. I am sleeping in the recliner because I don't think I could get up from a laying position. Also it help with elevating my legs and head a bit. My Doctors orders was to lay flat for 4-5 days with my legs elevated and pillow under my head. Only getting up to go to the bathroom or to eat and then back down. Every doctor is different and have read many different things postop orders on here. We all do what Our doctors recommend. I hope your day is great and you feel OK.
Today is much better for me also, besides my bathroom issue. You're doing great. You washed your own hair...I'm impressed lol. I've been sleeping, eating and watching tv in my glider. I'm to scared to try and lay in the bed. As far as my recovery instructions I was told to walk around after long periods of sitting if possible to prevent blood clots and to keep my feet elevated. How are you doing with your drains and when is your post op appt.?
So glad to hear today was better. My post-op appt is Wednesday and I can't wait to go. I have 2 drains. One is pretty much dried up and the other one is still filling. The color is not bright red but getting lighter in color. I also am worried about getting out of bed so I'm sleeping in the recliner. Eating, and tv. I did wash my hair but it wasn't easy. Thanks to the sprayer it got done. I did over-do today and have quite a bit of discomfort. Its bed (recliner) as soon as I'm done this. Lol.
I was called In for a post op appt. this evening. I didn't have the nerve to really look at the scar when the garment came down but the removal of the dried up gauze hurt a little. But the garment feels better without the extra packing or so it seems it could just be the painkillers are working lol. I was told i was healing nicely. I'm happy that I can now take a shower( I was wiping my body off with baby wipes). Doc also told me to start taking advil/motrin for pain and swelling which will also help with bathroom issue since pain killers constipate you. I go back Thursday and I hope the drains will be removed. Until then I was told to walk as much as possible and to eat fresh pineapples helps with healing and swelling. I also have to add it was a beautiful day it felt good to get some fresh air. How was today for you?
I am so happy for you. Sounds like you are Taking good care of yourself. You should have looked. . I bet you would be very happy with what you saw. When we washed my compression wrap a few days ago I was very happy with everything. Did not gross me out because I was amazed that I can see my vajayjay. Lol. Yes it was a beautiful day and we went for a short drive. So I am extra tired tonight keep in touch. ;)
I bought something called lecithin granule it's at bitamin shoppe etc it's a fat emulsifier. I have stomach issues and gall bladder out last year. I've never been regular in my life and it's t tbsp a day mix in drink no taste to it. It's helpful to push things along. Also herbal laxative I take at night all natural called Swiss Kris's. Have it at Walgreens cvs etc. Hope helps you.
Thank you, I will give it a try. Question does any of these gripe your stomach
Can you post some pictures ? Would gladly appreciate and happy healing

I went for a consult with Dr.Tehrani, wed 3/18/15....

I went for a consult with Dr.Tehrani, wed 3/18/15. I also booked my surgery the same day, which was was very impulsive of me. The surgery is scheduled for exactly 2weeks 4/01/15. Dr. Tehrani was my 4th consult. Although all the PS that I saw were nice and I couldve went with any of them (except for one he was way to expensive, don't get me wrong Dr. Tehrani isn't cheap either) but all the the ducks seemed to aline in a row when I was at the office. He was very nice and he has a great personality. I left the office feeling good about my decision. His staff all were very nice and helpful i never felt rushed or pressured, actually It was me putting the pressure on them to get me a date asap lol I actually had my consult and Pre-op appt all in one. At this point I haven't had the chance to become anxious yet. I'm trying to get clearances set up. I guess by the time everything is done it will be time to have the procedure. The only thing I'm worried about now is the healing process. I've been reading post some stories are a little crazy. I know everyone's body is different so the healing process is not the same for everyone. I just hope im one of the lucky ones (fingers crossed). I pray I don't have to much swelling. My daughter is getting married May 23rd and I want to enjoy myself and look great while doing it lol. Wish me luck.

Hello! How did your surgery went? Pray all is well...happy healing!
How are you feeling
I'm doing much better today. Yesterday was a ruff one. Really sore where I had the liposuction and I wish I could cough to clear my throat but we all know that's not happening anytime soon lol.
Good to hear. Remember take your medication every four hour so the pain does not get crazy. Happy healing. Feel better.
Hope all is well
Thank you
I hope and pray all is well and you are healing. Our surgeries were 1 day apart so I am right there with you. We need to take it slowly and one day at a time.
All is well. I was in more pain day 2 then I was on day 1. How is your healing process going
I am doing OK. I have more burning than pain. I hate meds but will take them to help with the healing process. I just wish I could go poo. LOL that might help the pressure. Keep me posted on your days progress. I am right here with you. :)
I haven't pooped either lol and the Doc gave me surgilax to take when I take pain meds.... still nothing.
Good luck with recovery, how are you doing?
Thank you, I'm taking it one day at a time. I'm trying to be positive
