6 weeks post op and going to the beach!!
WORTH IT$10,888
Hello ladies, i hope everyone is doing well!! I am six weeks today yay!! For awhile there i thought there was something wrong and i would never stand straight again but i am happy to say this past week i am standing straight very comfortably! Some other things i can do now is sleep on my sides comfortably, get in and out of bed. My energy level is back to normal too which is good because we are doing disney with the kids in 3 weeks and i am going to need all the energy i can get! There are still somethings that aren't totally comfortable..i usually play soccer in the backyard with my son and the twisting and running is too much. I don't feel fully comfortable without my cg yet, i am going to need to get over that quick with summer approaching! I pretty much wear it 23/7. Today was one of the only days i went over an hour without wearing it since i hit the beach with my 3 year old daughter. Oh and the pics are first thing in the morning, by the time i came back from the beach i had a nice pot belly! Can't wait for the swelling to go away but i have a feeling i am going to be writing that sentence a lot...seems to take months!! Anywho thats my story... happy healing to everyone!!

Finally Straight!
Hi Ladies! I hope everyone is feeling well. I am starting to feel more normal which is great! I had another po yesterday and my ps ok'd me for scar treatment. He gave me TNS Recovery Complex, it seems to be more of an anti wrinkle cream but i have read of other people using it for scar treatment. I guess i'll see how it goes! I got my first massage at the office yesterday and i felt noticeably better after it. It felt weird having someone touch my belly especially putting pressure on it. It was nice to see i am not as delicate as i have been treating myself. Even when i take a shower i gingerly wash my stomach cringing lol. I got off that table nice and tall (well as tall as someone that is 5'4 can feel ;) I also felt less swollen and don't seem as swollen today. She also did ultrasound on my scar, hey whatever helps! I wish everyone happy healing :)

Your 15 day PO pic looks amazing!!
Thanks :) I was still swollen (and more swollen now), it will be nice to see the final result!
You look flawless! Yayyyy!!! Glad you're feeling better and standing taller.
You have no idea how happy i am to be standing taller :) Aw thanks!! That was a pre-swelling pic but hopefully i'll be that flat again soon!
We had surgery on the same day. How are you doing at almost 5 weeks? I have PO on Tuesday, so looking forward to seeing what he says. I am using a tape and not a scar treatment, so I will ask about that. I am wearing all my old clothes. I almost want to cry that I can wear anything I want now. I am not buying any new clothes till later this summer/early fall. I am still losing weight and getting smaller, I have a ton of clothes that I grew out of so, it is like shopping in my own closet.
That's great that you can fit into all your old clothes! I really haven't really tried on much, i have been living in yoga pants. I am def swollen in my lower belly, can't wait for that to go away!!
Was it a lymphatic massage? They touched/put pressure on your belly? I asked my doc about this and he said not until 8 weeks post. From what I read its supposed to increase circulation, reduce swelling and create more white blood cells for healing..... so I'm not use why he turned it down. The nurse I spoke to never heard of it, again... weird. I love your shower comment, lol! After reading it, I decided to put more pressure on my belly and stop cringing... thanks! I also am standing much taller. I don't understand why you had an ultrasound...everything ok? Have a great long weekend!
Yes a lymphatic massage! I def feel better and notice less swelling after. It was Ultrasound therapy, it is suppose to break up the scar tissue and help your scar heal. Yes i am standing taller too, only after sitting for too long i am hunched when i stand up but it loosens up after a few minutes. Hope you had a good weekend!

3 weeks post op...
So i am 3 weeks po and def have swelling at the end of the day but i expected that! Overall i feel good thankfully! I am pretty much able to do everything i need to do to get the kids up and out to school. I still haven't done any of my usually heavy duty house cleaning, I am hoping next week! God bless my husband he is doing the best he can but i am itching to clean to my standards ha! I am going to go for a follow up appointment on Thursday and also try the lymphatic massage. Hopefully the massage helps with the swelling?!? I am also hoping for some tips from my ps on standing straight! I am still pretty hunched but i can't be stuck in the house anymore. I am dealing with the stares at this point. Anywho hope all the mommas on here had a great Mother's Day!

Honey compared to my photos and looking at yours. you are a knock out. My goodness you look so good. You weren't that bad prior to your tummy tuck. Did they do a full tummy tuck on you. Because your tummy wasn't all that bad. LOL I am so happy for you. How do you feel. So what is your next step in life. Anymore plastic surgery in the making. Looking at you I don't see anything you could possibly need. WOW you go girl!!! Don't be surprised if some women copy your picture and use it as their wish picture. LOL Yes you look that good. Happy for you keep us in form. Oh can we see what you incision look like.
Thanks so much, you r so sweet!! He did do a full TT because I had muscle separation and with a mini u can only address what is below your belly button. I figured if I am going to do this do it all the way and get everything addressed! Nope I think I am good in the PS department! The anesthesia and pain killers didn't agree with me and I don't think i want to go through that again!! Good luck to you, I am sure you will be very happy!
You look great! You are only 1 day ahead of me post-op. I never heard of bruisegaurd. I hope to see new pics..idea...if your scar goes hip to hip, maybe just show a side view since your not comfy with the straight on view of the scar..? What do you plan to use for scar treatment? I am pretty straight now. I think the trick is just kind of making yourself do it. I still walk a lot slower and def not back to my usual strut, but getting better. When will you be cleared for driving? I'm set back another week.... making it 4 wks....agh...cabin fever! Stay in touch:)
Hey Jam32...i was so nauseous i didn't end up taking all of the bruisgaurd anyway, oh well. I have been sleeping in my bed the last two nights and that def helped with straightening out. I wake up almost straight! Straight enough that i don't get stares when i go to the store. By the end of the day i slowly hunch more but i am fine with that, being straight part of the day has relieved the back pain so much. I was all clear to drive as long as i wasn't taking any pain medication and i felt comfortable with it. Why are you not cleared to drive yet? I started Monday which was my 3 week mark. Oh i hear ya about cabin fever! I was never so happy to go to the bank lol!! I have my next po appt tomorrow and i am going to ask about the scar treatment then, i assume i will be starting it soon...i'll keep ya posted!
Try a heating pad at night and have you tried Arnica for bruising? OTC at drug store or GNC.
I was still hunched over at 3 weeks for sure. In the grocery store I would act like I was leaning on the cart. Lol. I think the 4th week made a big difference. I was able to walk for exercise by 5/6 weeks which I think helped a lot with stiffness. At 3 months I feel like I have made more strides as I am now able to run 3-4 miles. Every week will get better and better. You look great!! : )
Thanks!! LOL i do the cart thing! Or i pretend i am looking down at my cell phone haha. That is awesome that you can run that long! Something for me to look forward too :) Did the massages hurt at all? I am a little nervous..
Not at all - it is a different type of massage where the massage therapist wears gloves that vibrate. It's more of a light vibrating massage than a hard rub. You will enjoy it!
I also had lymphatic massages and they did help with swelling. My practice included 3 massages with the package. I loved them!!
