4 weeks post op I realized my breast were a bit red and warm to touch. I went in for my 5 week post op and they suspected a infection, prescribed me amoxi-clax. I took it for a week; however my breasts are still a bit red and warm. I went back at 6 weeks and my surgeon explained to me that is may be red breast syndrome or the blood flow is rushing to my breast a lot which causing this issue. I am in no pain at all, no fever, chills or anything. Jus the redness and warmth. It's been 2 and half weeks with the redness and I am a nervous reck. I really don't want to remove the implants. I'm concerned, could this be a infection???

Hi Hun!!! I don't have any real advice about your breasts....other than keep in close contact with your PS. Did they say it can go away?? Im sorry you are a nervous wreck. There are people here to help support you emotionally. No matter what,,,its going to be OK. I don't think you need to start worrying about explanting yet. Talk to your PS again. Really. You don't have to be worried,,,and scared. Talk to them again. Keep us posted on how you are progressing. :)

Hi I'm 3 months post op and still get the same problem on and off to this point in my left breast, I was advised to keep an eye on it n rest it as best I can till I see ps end of next month when I'm 4 months post op. Don't think you have to worry too much just keep an eye on it like I do, I'm remaining positive and think it's most properly apart of the healing process which can take up to 6-12 months. Hope it gets better n your not alone matee
