3 1/2 weeks post op
Well I'm finally at a place where I am feeling more human! Yay!! I am still quite swollen some days/times worse than others. I had a ton liposuction and it turns out I'm just a slow healer :( I am however still very happy with my results and I can't wait to see how I look in a couple of months. Hopefully my PS clear m to start exercising this week when I see him. I'm ready to hit the tread-climber, go ham on my diet and lose another 5-10 pounds. I have not weighed myself since surgery so I honestly have no clue how much I lost. I just know I'm still retaining a lot of fluid and have a lot of edema around my lower half. My PS gave me a natural bristle brush and a diagram of how to use It to push the fluid from the lower belly/lower back region up to the lymph nodes under the armpits as that is where they are still connected to. That's why it's so hard to lose the swelling because it's so far for the fluid to travel to get drained by the lymph system. The more lipo you've had the more the lymphatic system is temporarily damaged and unable to do its job well. I guess that's why we have CG's ladies! I'll post some photos from today even though I am not looking my best today. On a good day I have no love handles on my back, but I ate a fair amount of salty food last night and I'm paying the price. I took some pictures in a bikini and different bikini bottoms for scar coverage purposes. Even my smallest string bikini bottom nearly covers the entire scar. I have a lot of marks on me from my CG.

So here's how I'm doing. It's been up and down this week. I had my 1 week post op appointment on Wednesday and the PS says I'm doing great from his perspective! So that's good. I'm having a lot of back spasms and abdominal tightness that's making it difficult to be up for any good length of time. My one drain is out! And he has me wearing just very light compression now. I'm so ridiculously swollen and the area on my left breast and right thigh that blistered are quite painful. I'm really happy with the way my breasts are looking! The nurse at the PS office told me my breasts are long to look "freaking awesome" when they're all healed up so that was nice to hear :). I'm off all Narcotics, just taking Tramadol and Tylenol. Not gonna lie, I miss my 3 hour long Norco induced naps! Lol. So that is the update. I should probably just post this on my wall too! I'll have to ale some pictures later today when my husband gets home.
POD #6
Well this morning I finally had a BM. This was after 6 days of taking everything under the sun to produce a BM. Called my nurse last night and she said that if I hit 7 days I'd have to go to the ER to get the poop out! I literally think she scared the [RS bleep] out of me, lol.
I have been having a fairly tough recovery. So long as Have been taking 2 Norco 10's every 4-6 hours and Valium every 8 I've been fine, but as soon as I try to start cutting down the pain was just not tolerable. I've cut down drastically on the Norco and today they are calling me in Lortab and I will start trying to take that during the day and save the Norco for night time if needed. My biggest issues are my lower back, I still cant stand straight because of it and my abdominal wall muscles, especially the ones up top. I'm getting that point where I feel like I'll never get better.
Ladies what day did things turn around for you? What day did you say, ok, I'm gonna be alright? Any suggestions on what I should be doing? How do you stretch the tummy muscles to get standing straight? Not sure if anyone's following me or will answer me but any advice would be lovingly accepted.
I have my second post op appointment this Wednesday with my PS, not just his nurse.
I know he will pull my drain as there's hardly anything coming out. I'm hoping take the dressing off my TT scar so I can see it for the first time!!! Scary and exciting. I also developed some pretty bad blisters on my left breast and right thigh where there was some liposuction. The breast blister finally popped but let me say it's been one of the more painful elements of recovery. I don't have a lot of pictures but I'll share some new ones of my healing. Will have some good new photos after Wednesday.
Happy Healing everyone.

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

I love him! Need I say more?? He is meticulous and talented. Board certified, everything certified. His office walls are covered in certificates. He speaks at conferences all over the country. He's friends with other top surgeons in the country and they discuss best techniques with one another to stay at the top of their fields. He was my one and only consultation. Saw him 2 years ago and wasn't ready. No doubt in my mind I was going back to him this time.
