I have a lower tooth that sits in front of my uppers, and it really bothers me. After alot of consideration i though 6MS sounded like a good option for me.. The process of actually getting them on has taken about 3 months. Today was the day.. Took about 2 hours. Even though these things are clear they are NOT invisible.. They make my teeth look extra yellow and my face looks like its swollen, it is just the weirdest feeling. I have my first check up in a week and I will update. (Apparently accidently deleted my before pics!) :(

Last month?

The last 5 months have gone by very quickly! I have had a mostly positive experience with my braces, takes a few weeks to really get used to them but it is very normal once you do. I noticed teeth movement very quickly. Sometimes in order for things to straighten out it has to go crooked first. My dentist has paid close attention to me and i have an appointment every 2 weeks ( besides 1 month).. She adjusts something if it doesn't seem to be working right. When i had to wait 1 month to go back to the dentist my bands got pretty yellow from my daily coffee, and i have broken off a few brackets but everything has gone smoothly. Should know when i get them off next week!

I'm so happy to hear your progress and that you're so far pleased with the experience. I'm going tomorrow to get a cleaning and then do the impressions. I'm so excited to start! I'm dreading the braces part - they seem uncomfortable - but I cannot wait to have straight teeth. Thanks for sharing!

They are quite uncomfortable at first! But you will be surprised how quickly you get used to them. When i go in for my appointments and they take my wires off it doesn't feel right untill they are back on. Good luck to you :)

They are finally off!

I just got my braces off and my teeth look perfect! Which is strange and i have to adjust to life without braces again.. They put in permanent retainers and took molds for full retainers for me to wear at night. My bite seems different, so that will takr some getting used to. As long as they dont move back I am happy with my outcome and the money i spent on it :)

A few months later, can you give an update to your bite? Thats my concern if i go this route because ive heard comments about it messing up your bite. Thanks!

I am 7 months into this treatment and yes, my bite is now messed up. I had no bite issues at all, I had a few crooked teeth in the front when I began (please see my review) and now yes my teeth are straight on their own each row, but if I put my teeth together to 'bite' ONLY my front teeth touch edge to edge, and my molars do not. I have to carefully chew so I do not slam my front teeth into each other. I hate it so much and I'm so unhappy and I don't think my dentist is confident it will ever correct.

My bite is just as good as before i had 6ms. It really just depends on your case and dentist. My outcome was a good one and i know thats not how it is in every case.

I would also like an update to your teeth and bite. I'm still in treatment, 7 months now, and my bite that was fine before is messed up now.

Thanks for the reply. I chose my dentist based off his experience and many successful cases. I’m so disappointed this late into treatment. I was worried about 10 weeks in, and when it’s that early they tell you not to worry. That it will work out. But now that I see him every two weeks his confidence gets lower and lower that I will get the outcome I want.
