11 days from my surgery date. I am nervous and yet excited at the same time. I have 2 weeks off from work to recover, which makes me a bit nervous. So we will see how it all plays out. So many of you have quite the list of supplies you are buying prior to surgery. My list is pretty simple... pillows.. and Arnica and good old stool softeners :)

By our list sounds perfect. Good luck. I found I didn't need half the stuff I read people were getting. Only the pillows for sleep, which is still hard for me because I'm a side sleeper. I'm 10 days PO. Also I feel great. Sounds like you're having the same MMO I had. Best of luck and happy healing. Oh you may want to get some Miralax stool so fitness don't don't do it and Miralax is great and easy and u can't taste it not even in plain waiter.

Perfect. Thanks for the advice Johanna. How are you feeling 10 days PO? Any other pointers you can offer me? I am a 100% belly sleeper, so sleeping is a big of mine!

I feel great. I mean I'm sore and get tired easily but I'm good. Been off pain meds since day 4. Just Tylenol.

I hate pain meds but this is one time I set an alarm and took them every four hours for 3-4 days then on day 5 seen how it went without. You'll sleep a lot if you do this and it keeps pain away. Definitely do the Miralax and stool softener. It still took me about 4- 6 days but I also didn't eat much. Try to walk about very hour even if it's just to the bathroom. I had emotional days so expect those. And the Lipo swells and they take longer for swelling to go down from what I've read or at least I'm hoping. If you have any questions or anything feel free to send me a private message. I also go really really emotional and confused as the big day got closer. I've read a lot of people do that too.

Oh and you will need help around the clock at least the first 3 days. Do you have to spend night or come home same day?

I am so glad that you are doing so well!!! I plan to stay on top of my meds for the first few days. I am going back to work in 2 weeks so I want to wean off them when it is reasonably possible. I plan to get up and walk as much as possible.. without of course over doing things. The emotional days scare me... but knowing that I may have them.. hopefully will help. I have heard that the Lipo is the hardest part to heal from. Are you using Arnica for the lipo? Are you using anything for the scar? As it is getting closer I am getting more and more nervous! I come home the same day that I have my procedure. They are figuring on 5 hours in surgery and up to a couple of hours in recovery. Thanks so much for your messages. I literally have only told one person about my surgery. I really didn't want to take a chance of people being negative and dealing with that :) So your input is greatly appreciated!

Oh the dreaded thought of taking, let alone posting pictures on here for all to see. I will however do it.. just because for me it has been so helpful to see the before and afters of you all. Tomorrow in between wrapping gifts and getting ready for a party I will try and find time to get the dreaded before pictures. I am however, hoping as I heal I can look back at those pictures and be reminded of why I did the surgery in the first place!
