Day 3 with makeup

Days 0-3

Started to peel later in the day on day 2. Woke up on day 3 with lots of flaking!

I decided to meet with an aesthetician to discuss some ongoing skin issues I have, including hormonal acne, mild acne scarring, texture irregularities and hyperpigmentation. I was expecting her to tell me that it would cost thousands of dollars to fix my skin, but I was reassured during my visit that my skin issues are fixable and treatable through a series of relatively inexpensive treatments. Phew!

After looking at my skin, the aesthetician talked me through several treatments, including IPL, a hydrofacial, and a chemical peel. I was ready to have treatment done immediately, and after talking through the cost of each treatment, we decided that the SkinMedica Rejuvenize Peel would be a great place to start, followed by a series of IPL treatments once my skin has healed from the chemical peel. She also recommended Skin Pen treatments further down the road.

The Rejuvenize peel took about 45 minutes. She layered on the solution with gauze, waiting several minutes between layers. On a scale from 1-10, the pain was around a 5 or 6. Once finished, she applied SPF 30, talked through the aftercare instructions, and sent me on my way.
