My Invisalign journey comes of age - 21 trays old!

Been a long time since I last updated, mainly because things have been going well - the old no news is good news thing!
Sooooo - I'm on tray 21 of 32 so well over half way now and I guess it's all become a way of life. Other people in my life find it more of a big deal than me - my hubby especially wil suggest a snack and then say "oh no, you can't can you, I forgot!".... But the thing is I know I can if I want so I no longer feel left out like I did in the beginning. I just balance the "time out scales" and all is good! Had absolutely no problems so far with fitting new trays so it obviously works. Still usually aim for 21 hours minimum wear but do go under sometimes if there's a social function for instance. My heart still sinks a little at the party invite that suggests trays of food circulating over a long period of time but I just don't stress now.
Things I've noticed as I progress on this programme....
This is a biggie -
1) As your teeth move out (and the gaps between them get bigger) you suddenly start storing more of your dinner in between them - haha, it's gross - and flossing becomes a voyage of discovery... I think it's the adult version of a toddler pelican bib, lol! Spinach is definitely off the menu when dining out for now.
2) At maximum spacing I.e.now-ish, the involuntary lisp makes an appearance more often - tttthhhhorry, what did you ttthhhay? Yettthhh itth true - well, you get the idea.
3) Don't be tempted to try new mouthwashes - I tried a new one that was supposed to keep your mouth free of bacteria for 24 hours and it really stained my attachments - so I looked like I had a very bad nicotine habit. My dentist took ages to clean them up and advises against them now.
Other than that all good.
Hope your journeys are going well, will attach a comparison photo - until next time, onward and upwards!
