2 months post :)

Well, it's been 2 months since the procedure and things are going well. If I pull the armpit skin tightly then I can see vertical bands. The doctor said I should massage the pits daily but I have to admit I fell off the wagon!

I have no regrets about getting the procedure. Sometimes I wonder if if the pits are sweating but I can't feel any wetness. My main issue that I'm dealing with is the anxiety. For so long I experienced anxiety (and fear) because of the odor. It definitely affects your personal and professional life! Now I'm trying to re-train my brain and do more positive self talk. I have limited myself and accepted less because of the odor. No more of that! There are times when I wonder if my pits smell so I'll take a whiff and I can't detect anything. Getting Miradry was an excellent decision......

I'm so glad to hear it's been working for you. I'm just a month post and I'm debating whether to get a second treatment or not. So far so good, have you noticed any difference in sweating after two months it has it stayed the same as the first month. Are you going for a second treatment?

I was debating about having a second treatment. It's strange because sometimes I feel like I'm sweating but my pits feel dry.

Thank for your response. I'm a week short of 4 months post procedure and I scheduled a second treatment for next week. Although, I'm not sweating as much, there are times that I actually sweat a lot and it goes thru my shirt so I'm hoping the second time is the charm.

miradry didnt work for me neither unfortunately, bloodwork is showing as normal, Im almost 100% sure my odor is stress related

Did the odor return?

Hi! I’m from Illinois too and considering having Miradry performed. Can you give me an update on how you’re doing with the smell & sweating, please? Thanks!!

Hello! I’m still on the fence about the procedure-it seemed like it was working well but a couple of months ago I noticed that I started sweating again. Not shirt-soaking sweat but slightly damp pits. This happened after I first got the procedure but my pits would be dry (phantom sweat). This is also a stressful time of year for me so I’m not sure if that’s causing it. The smell is okay but sometimes it’s hard for me to detect my own odor even after a big inhale. I will say that the hair growth is pretty slow so I only shave once a week (or less).

UPDATED FROM petite queen

Almost 4 weeks later

petite queen
Tomorrow will be exactly 4 weeks since I had the procedure. The swelling is gone and the lumps are on their way out too. However my left pit is still a tiny bit sore (the right pit is ok). After 2 weeks I started using deodorant again for my own comfort level. Now I just put on 1 swipe as opposed to layering it on. Here's the weird thing-I wasn't using it during my workout. My pits were warm but not wet. However I went for a long walk 2 days in a row this week and my pits were a little wet. I was deodorant-free on these days plus it was humid & 90 degrees. I'm attributing my wet shirt to weather since I sweated in the areas I would normally sweat in (during exercise).

So far the odor hasn't been a problem. I notice that the left pit is sometimes "sticky"- it's similar to the feeling when your mouth is really dry. I use the antibiotic ointment at night to help with that. Also massaging the pits really helps with discomfort. I'll post more updates as the journey continues................

looks like you are doing well. Do you think you will get the second procedure done?
July 17, 2016
Probably not as long as things continue in the right direction :)

The doctor had the Miradry done on herself and I think she only had it done once

That is great news. I bet your confidence is sky high. Did you pay for just 1 treatment? Or did your treatment include 2 treatments if you need it. I know some place let you pay for just one treatment and then if you need another you pay for it separately. Some place make you pay for 2 treatments even if you only need one. How much did you pay by the way?
July 19, 2016
I only paid for one treatment (about 2K). I think the second treatment costs less.

Glad you are odor-free in the very first treatment! What antibiotic are you applying? Clindamicine? mupirocine? How many years you had to apply antibiotics?
July 14, 2016
Hi, sorry for the late response. The doctor gave me a script for Mupirocin 2% ointment. I used it 2x/day for 2 weeks and now occasionally I put it on the pits at night. Sometimes the pits have a "cottonmouth" feeling so it helps with the dryness. Before I knew about Miradry, my dermatologist prescribed me Metronidazole gel 0.75%. I used it off and on for years for odor. Sometimes it worked & sometimes not.
