Around five years ago, I made a huge mistake.
I had a small tattoo on my right hip which I hated. Instead of opting for laser removal (which was unavailable in my area at the time) I decided to get a cover up. The original cover up artist was a friend of mine, naturally I was happy to go along with any suggestions. Unfortunately, when he was finished I was immediately unhappy with the results. My new tattoo was far too big and “not me”.
Instead of stopping there, I decided to seek out another local artist who had fantastic reviews. I went for a consultation and before I knew it I was back in the chair getting another cover up. This resulted in a beautiful tattoo but I still didn't feel like it sat well with my personality.
For the past five years, I've been forcing myself believe I can live with it/It’s not that bad, just be confident no one cares etc. I avoided going to laser clinics as I was too scared they would say it can’t be removed. (It's Blue)
Finally, I bit the bullet and went for a consultation. My worst fear was realised, the technician advised that there in no way it can be removed due to the colour and promptly turned me away. After this I was completely deflated and angry that I had done this to myself.
A stroke of luck brought me to RS where I discovered PicoSure and could see people with similar coloured tattoos having theirs faded/removed. I immediately found a local specialist who uses this type of laser and booked myself in for a consultation.
Two weeks later and I have undergone my first full treatment. I will be posting updates on here as I go through this journey and hope it will help inform others.
(Future posts will be shorter)

PicoSure Progress update bye bye blue bird
Philip1987February 26, 2019
Since my first post I've had 2x more sessions with PicoSure. I'm happy with the results so far.
I've been spacing my sessions out as the recovery process is pretty full on due to the position of the tattoo.
Happy that I'm beginning to see my skin again and most of the dark blue has faded.

Six month break....ready for the next round!
Philip1987October 10, 2019
It's been six months since my last laser session. I decided to let my skin rest during the summer months. I'm seeing big breaks in the ink and a significant amount of natural skin tone coming through. Still a long way to go but hoping I've reached the half way point.
