Wanted them for a long time. Competitive Olympic weightlifter. Due to Covid all national and world Level competitions were cancelled. I also needed to rest my back so it was the perfect time to do it. 36 1 child, lost a lot of weight and wanted to fill out my breasts.
After consulting with my Dr who said he wanted to consult with other docs we decided over the muscle would be the best fit to fit my current lifestyle.
Scheduled surgery, I had lots of questions and every time I called his staff was available to talk.
Had surgery today, went with Natrelle moderate profile 310cc. And I’m very happy with my results. I was able to go to the store on my way home from surgery and coach lacrosse this evening.

I am also a weightlifter, nursed 2 babies. Out of curiosity, why over the muscle? I often see many athletic women go that route but I don’t like the way they look. My biggest concern is the huge separation or gap between the implants if you have big pectoral muscles. Is it possible to achieve the round, full, high profile look with sub-pectoral Placement? Or does that cause the separation?

The conversation I had with my doctor addressed those issues but they are different for each person. As far as the separation of breasts that is pec animation and happens from going under the muscle, when flexing the pec it can pull them out towards your armpit. This was one reason we decided to go over the muscle. Another reason was the amount of weight I lift and long term will continue to need to lift for my sport. Some women have issues or pain, oR longer recovery With exercising those muscles. Then last thing was do I have enough breast tissue that you won’t see the implant. I did, and I said I wasn’t concerned if you could see the top of implant anyway. So make sure you see a good plastic surgeon to get an honest answer of you have enough breast tissue to do over the muscle and achieve the results you’re looking for. And as far as separating, with Over the muscle they can actually make the pockets anywhere so it is possible for them to be placed closer together than sub pec depending on your anatomy if it will look right.

thank you for the helpful explanation! I definitely noticed the muscular women going over the muscle. And yes I still have quite a bit of tissue still. We will see what doc says, I have consult on 8/24. My biggest concern is comfort. I love my active lifestyle and hoping implants will not compromise it. Keep me posted on your recovery when going into your regular training! Thank you!

Tightness of the skin is much better now, not uncomfortable at all. And I’m loving my new boobs! Starting to get tingles as everything is healing. But not uncomfortable. Had a few days thinking where I was back and forth on whether or not I made the right decision but free these pics. I’m soooo happy!

8 days post op had my stitches out. The incisions look great! Most of the tingling has already stopped. One breast is softening more than the other. Dr is having me start implant massage, it’s fine, the bottom of my breast doesn’t have a lot of feeling anyway. Sleeping and getting up from sleeping isn’t bothersome anymore, I don’t feel stuff shifting around when I get up. I have 0 pain or discomfort. I was given the green light to start back at PT for my back which is mostly glute strengthening and core work. Dr said if my incision area hurts during core work to stop. Still no weights on arms so started doing a lot of mobility and activation of muscles. Hoping to keep as much as I can there.
Still feels weird when I don’t wear a bra or tight shirt to give some support.
Had PT this morning, everything felt good.
