Quick Update....
I realize now that I used the term Lifestyle Lift, but his procedure is called a Reflection Lift. My apologies. Also, its been nearly 5 months and I don't regret a single second (or dollar spent) on the procedure. I'm SOOO happy. I wish the before and after photos were a little better (I don't love 'em...) but I genuinely feel like it took 5+ years off of my face. I would absolutely consider doing it again if I needed it in 10 years.
I Give my Highest Recommendation to Dr. Boggess and the Lifestyle Lift
The entire experience for my Lifestyle Lift was fantastic. I was, like anyone else getting this done (or thinking about it), both excited and nervous. I have two friends who had Dr. Boggess do their lifts in the last year, which of course gave me great comfort, but I still had some nerves going in... wondering what it'd be like, what the recovery would be like, whether or not it would be successful, etc etc etc. I read reviews and looked for answers and comfort wherever I could find it! So, that's why I wanted to leave a review for Dr. Boggess and his team.
From start to end (now 2 months post surgery), it has been a GREAT experience. He (and his staff) never pressured me to have the surgery done (no hard pressure sales tactics going...). They were informative, gentle, patient and encouraging from start to finish. When surgery day came along, he and his staff were thoughtful and kind - really putting any nerves I had at bay. The surgery itself was over before I knew it and I was back at home in bed to sleep the night through. I went back in the morning to take the wrap off my face and the swelling wasn't nearly as bad as I anticipated. Those first 2-3 days after the surgery were the hardest (but by no means awful) and that was primarily due to the fact that I just don't tolerate pain medicine well and was relying more on Tylenol than what most people can/do take after a procedure. I think if I could have taken something a little more substantial, it would have been an even easier experience.
I had my surgery done on a Wednesday and was back to work the next week. My face was still a little swollen and tight, but it wasn't so noticable that anyone even asked or commented about it. The second week was even better and by week 3, I don't feel self- conscious at all. It's funny because most of us don't want anyone looking at us rightwards thinking, "Whoa... SHE must of had some work done..." and then after a few weeks you think, "Hey, don't I look fantastic?!?" but if you didn't let folks know you were going to have it done in the first place, its almost too late to say, "Look at how incredible my face looks!! I had a Lifestyle Lift!!".
If I ever did it again (and I absolutely would choose to in 10 years if I needed it), I would give myself the 3 week time window recommended before any big event.
So, to sum it up, I have zero regrets. I'm turning 50 later this year and this was a GREAT present to give myself! I'm very happy I chose to have the surgery, am thrilled with the results (especially along the jawline and reduction of jowls), and can't give a higher recommendation.
