Gum Graft Failure

Gum Graft Failure

$2,700
I had a free ginivital graft on 4 front teeth 2 weeks ago. I developed a severe infection which I was then prescribed amoxicillin. The graft turned black and after repeated phone calls to Dr. Orjansen I called my dentist which she met me immediately. I had necrotizing tissue and the graft was failing.

Sorry this happened to you. Did your gums return to the same they were afterwards or did you feel they were worse? I had my graft fail also. I had it for 1 tooth only with a deep recession & now the tooth next to it has recession. So disappointing. Are you considering having it done again? I'm considering a second opinion at the very least before i proceed any further.
The fact it was free probably should have been a red flag...
Haha you don’t know medical terms do you?
Free gingival graft is a kind of graft. No flap is made into which the tissue is sewn. The tissue is sewn onto the gumline. I'm sure they or their insurance paid for it.
How are your gums doing now? Are you alright?
