Just had my Botox injections today. I wrote a whole review and then it didn't post so I'll try to get most of it back on here and will be as detailed though. I have been dealing with excessive sweating since I was first entering puberty and have decided that it's time to finally do something about it instead of just feeling uncomfortable. I have tried any of the over-the-counter medication deodorant and didn't really like the way that they made my skin feels some of them I had reactions to and it just was not a good solve. So this let me to going to talk to my dermatologist at my yearly check up about different options for the excessive sweating under the arms. He told me that I needed to try something called Drysol before thinking about doing Botox treatments. The pharmacy told me when I went to go pick the Drysol up that they were on back order from the manufacture and had no date of when I could fill that prescription. So this prompted my insurance to cover the Botox quicker than their normal process.
Today I went in and medical assistant took me back wipe my under arms with alcohol and let me sit for a couple minutes with them out drain today I went in and medical assistant took me back with my under arms with alcohol and let me sit for a couple minutes with them out drying. The doctor came in and put a whole bunch of tiny dots under my arms this is going to be where he was going to inject. So then he started the injections I think it was about 20 needlesticks per side. It wasn't extremely painful but it wasn't great either . I'm not supposed to put deodorant on or exercise for about four hours to let it do its job and then it should hopefully last a couple months up to six they say. So it's hard to write this treatment at this time as worth it since I haven't seen the results. But I will update as it starts working or if it doesn't work either . I put some pictures on of the dots and this is after getting the injections about two hours ago let me know if you have any questions my fellow sweaty friends
