I've been big breasted since I can remember. After breastfeeding 2 kids (now 19 and 18 years old) and gaining weight my boobs just keep getting bigger and bigger. I have excruciating back and neck pain, grooves in my shoulders, rash under boobs, self consciousness, etc. I've always hated my big boobs and felt everyone staring at me. I hate the way they look so big in pictures and the way I look in swimsuits. Finding good bras is difficult and expensive.

I've wanted to have a breast reduction for years but My husband always said if I lost weight they would get smaller. I tried to lose weight but it's not easy. I'm 5'7" and weigh about 180lbs. So now Ive decided that i can't live like this anymore and want the operaction.

I went to my primary care physician, ob gyn and physical therapist for treatment. I've found an amazing hospital with great plastic surgeon doctors. I sent all the paperwork to my insurance company 2 weeks ago and today I received a letter that they approve the operation and will pay for it!!! I'm so excited!!!! I will call tomorrow to schedule my surgery.

How are you feeling ? I'm 2 and half weeks post op . Still quite sore and tired . Under boobs still right . Can't do alot without them hurting x

I'm feeling better everyday but still sore, tight and uncomfortable. It's hard to reach my arms around to do things like wash my underarms or lotion my back. Washing my hair is difficult. Sleeping on my back sucks! Now I've started itching under my boobs. It's a lot to deal with. I didn't think recovering would be so challenging.

5 More Nights to the Big Day

I got an appointment for surgery on Friday July 7!! So excited and nervous! I've started thinking of things I need to do and buy before the big day. Today I sewed a breast pillow and drainage holder bags. I will do some gardening and house cleaning on Monday. Mammogram and shopping on Tuesday. Wednesday packing and washing/conditioning hair, then I go in on .thursday for prep work and surgery on Friday! Any tips and advice you all have will be greatly appreciated.

I'm having my BR surgery in two days!!! I go to the hospital tomorrow for tests, last consultations, etc and then Friday is the big day!!! I'm so excited but nervous at the same time. I'm excited to see if my back and neck pain are better and how I will look with smaller boobs. I'm nervous about dying, the pain and having messed up boobs and scars (I keloid!). Wish me luck ladies!!! I will take and post pics soon....
